Adding Speed to the Sidewinder. Track, Studs and Gear Install

Pete Removes the factory track and installs a 1" Track from an SRX. Completes a gear change and saves a bit of $$ making his own version of trigger studs.

Hey Pete I enjoy your video's! I've worked on my own sleds for many years, and I've changed many Tracks by myself. What works for me is, if you take 2 strips of wood (1" x1.50" x 36" long. Put them between the skid and the Track (The thickness of the wood is slightly higher than the inside lugs on the track). While the Sled is suspended, ratchet strap the Track up for clearance on the top side and the skid will slide out on top of the wood strips! Reverse procedure to put it in! Works like a charm!

It took me 45 minutes to get 2 oil filters off our case ih steiger 485 tractor. The whole time I was thinking "who was the asshole that put these on so tight." That asshole was me 😳

@RedNecks & DirtyHands I have the 02 RMK 700 with 13,300 miles on it ! Only a top end 3,000 miles ago . The rest is all stock. It's a incredible engine. The slide on the carb literally got so thin it broke . Replaced and she's still being ridden . 50 miles yesterday.

thanks! 🍻 I put a 22 tooth top gear and a 38 tooth bottom gear. works pretty good..got a 134 mph in the quarter mile run on the lake last season with it...not too shabby lmao 🤣🍻

lol yeah something like that...just a straight track and gear swap with a buddy wouldn't take that long if ya can stay out of the bud lights!! but farting around with the studs definitely added more time to the job. 🍻
