Both my buddy and I bought new sleds in 1998 , mine 700XC , snowchecked in 97 , got the 220 jugs , then center dump PSI pipe & glass pack , it ripped , rode his 1998 stock Thundercat across Big Bay in upper Michigan , endless space , it never quit pulling , wrapped the needle around to the M , on MPH at the bottom of the speedometer , and was still pulling , 110 plus

My ride now ? 2004 switchback 700 , SLP performance Edition , bored carbs , threw the Catalog at it , plus double bearing kit & brand new crank , no studs , name it , it’s new , kept the hood tunnel seat suspension , restoration quality ! Needs 25 /37 gearing next

Believe it or not those old tcats would probably be even quicker if they were even heavier. Small footprint on the track. At 80mph they’re still spinning and ya don’t even realize it

I've been a cat guy all in my life I'll take the T-Cat over anything it's there , I just believe for the price and durability and reliable Motors, the El Tigres of the time we're fast and fun to ride I owned a 800 at one time WoW that fun, I also must mention that the Kawasaki's of the day were very fast I'd like to hear your comments on both from the great state of Ohio

yeah I've always loved the T-cats and pretty much all arctic cats really! I haven't really had any of the old kawasaki's but I did run a old John deere Liquifire a while ago and I belive it was kawi powered and she was a ripper for sure! great to hear from ya Ohio! 🍻

Yamahas are notorious for clutch rattling noise. But if it’s something new you have heard best to check it out.

Line does that too, 19 mod with 1600 km. Its normal, there are diffrent ways to dampen the sound/remove it. But it's not something thats bad except the noice.
