Why not sticking to the two circuits and connect them with two switches? So you could run two individual trains in the city and amusement park, or run one train all around the table.

Would you consider making a "underground" style train station. Just a facade which would expose the tunnel and may add an easier access point to switch up trains Crazy to see how fast this is coming together. Youre definitely working hard!

Looks awesome! Love the switch to one circuit! That half baseplate of space opposite the town hall on the other side of the track would make a nice spot for a train station! Loving the new layout overall! Oooo or on one of those stone walls that cover under the platform you could have an entrance to a 'hidden' station

Very nice the track looks great 5:55 I know you said about not building a bridge but you might need a wood support column underneath as the track over the gap might start to now due to the weight of trains going on it

I love how everything is looking after all the hard work! I think there was a missed opportunity to build some bridges out of technic to go across those gaps but that's just me
@bozzie192 жыл бұрын
Looks really good. A little tip for the first crossing out of the tunnel, need to modify the tiles slightly to remove the loud clicking sound when the train crosses because it’s damaging the wheels.
@salvation73622 жыл бұрын
You should have part of the back rock wall by the amusement park open as part of a diorama scene. A rock cave formation with flora surrounding the opening so you can catch a glimpse of the speeding train as it whizzes past.

That's made my mind up for definite - I'm getting some Lego trains! I had Hornby train sets when I was very little and enjoyed them so I don't know why I never got a Lego one especially as I love Lego so much... I think I'll get the current cargo and passenger train sets before they retire because I really like how they look and I'll worry about where to put them afterwards! I was meant to be focusing on Star Wars for a while but I'm still smiling from watching your train go round the city! Great video 👍

Just an idea, but what if you kept that loop that goes through the amusement park, and integrate it into the amusement park like you did with the road crossings with two switches? That way, you can one smaller amusement park loop to carry guests around using the Disney train OR park the Disney train and use the other train for the whole loop? Also, I love these custom tables and this city you're building. It has definitely inspired me to build my own! Looking forward to see how it turns out 😄
@originalbricks_lego2 жыл бұрын
I have a couple of suggestions 1. In front of the town hall / city center area i dont think it would be wise to put a brick wall there as from our view it would cover the town hall so I thought maybe you could add a layer of that textured brick and a DBG plate on top then a layer of 1x2 modified tile which has a stud in the middle and then add black 1x4 bar pieces. 2. in the under section of the raised platform maybe you could add a underground metro station and on the raised platform you could add a facade type of entrance to the underground station. 3. in the 25inch bridge maybe from bricklink you buy a highway bridge piece and add it. (PROGRESS ON TUNING SHOP- finished building almost finished instructions hopefully by may mid it will be free on rebrickable and soon in your city) LUV THE CITY UPDDATE :)

I'm not sure if this has been said yet, but it would be pretty cool if there was a station right in front of townhall in the dead space there. Also great work with the city:)
@Driver-zg3mk2 жыл бұрын
As a tip for insparation for a station facade in front of the platform Vancouver waterfront station, pacific central station or Union Station Winnipeg seem tall enough to model a trainstation facade also fitting style of most modulars.

nice tracks, you could even have the tracks one plate lower than the grass or even crazier have grass slopes and the tracks right on the baseplate like you have in many places in real life

Hey Bricksie! Great layout... I was curious to know what camera/gear you use to film your lego room updates? I built an app for LEGO trains, and I wanted to shoot a demo video for it, in case others in the community are interested in using it for their cities... It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bricksie, keep up the AWESOME work!!!

A elevated train would have been cool too. Could have been on top of the elevated section in back then over the road in front. Might block some of the view of buildings though. And a actual bridge between the tables it would have that New York vibe kinda.
@Benji5682 жыл бұрын
Here's a bright idea: At Legoland Windsor over here in the UK, there a section in Miniland where they show you the underground subway with the train going from tunnel to tunnel with an escalator in the background. Maybe you could try doing that under the raised platform as a fun little hidden Easter egg. Just an idea tho. Keep up the good work Jordan.
