I have TCL 6 series, LG sp8ya, Sony X800M2, and Apple TV 4K and I was trying to get the Dolby Atmos through the soundbar by connecting ATV directly to the Soundbar HDMI (in) and connect the Soundbar ARC (out) to the TV HDMI ARC. I've contracted Apple, LG, and TCL and no one gave me a solution, but your video fixed the issue! Thank you so much!

Thank you! Just purchased a TCL 43S431. No problem getting audio to LG sound bar using optical connection but wanted to check out ARC. I thought I clicked on all appropriate HDMI-ARC on the menus including among the choices that included PASSTHROUGH. Your video made me aware of using PASSTHROUGH and wow! Now I can put the LG sound bar remote in the drawer. Thanks again!'!!!!

I have everything connected properly and had same setup on prior TV, but with this tcl I can get audio from my bluray player through my soundbar which itself is connected to hdmi 4 arc, but once video starts, TV says No signal (is it on?) While audio is still playing out of soundbar. Any ideas?

we have a 2 week old TCL 65" qled 770 the sound went off after 5mins, We have a technician coming to fix it in a few days. I tried what you told us on your vid but the screen info is so different I was unable to follow you. I have connected a cheap soundbar to the earphone socket temporarily which is fine. I keep checking but the internal speakers don't work. have tried factory resets etc. Do you think there is a genuine fault?

I have this sound bar connected to a TCL 65S433 using the HDMI ARC port. It sounds great when using any of the HDMI inputs connected to a source, but when I use the streaming services I have to crank the volume up to 90% or 100%. Is there a setting I may be missing?

My 50S535 will NOT decode or pass through Dolby Digital or DTS through eARC or optical. It down converts everything to Dolby Pro Logic.

So my issue is, everything is connected correctly. The tv shows my Vizio soundbar connected to HDMI1(Arc) but no sound comes out, the remote shows HDMI ARC as the output setting, everything is correct as far as I can tell, but the TC shows "your device is not connected to the HDMI port" yet it shows the device name...I"m at a loss.

Hmmm try unplugging everything wait 2 minutes plug back in and try it. make sure you do not have an optical plugged in
