Addressing Geopolitical Challenges in the Region and Beyond through ASEAN-Led Mechanisms

ASEAN provides several ASEAN-led mechanisms such as the ASEAN Plus One, ASEAN Plus Three (APT), East Asia Summit (EAS), and ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) as frameworks for ASEAN member states to cooperate with its non-member partners. However, there are several criticisms of these mechanisms and how it is underutilized.These revelations beg the question, how can ASEAN more effectively use these mechanisms to resolve regional conflicts?
Against this backdrop, FPCI and GRIPS held the FPCI-GRIP Virtual Public Forum on ”Addressing Geopolitical Challenges in the Region and Beyond through ASEAN-Led Mechanisms on July 16, 2024.
