Addressing Period Poverty in the Capital Region

UAlbany MPH students Brynn Watkins and Claire Jennings, together with UAlbany alum Annabelle Rieseler '22, are expanding access to menstrual products and education throughout the Capital Region. Their nonprofit organization, Capital Region Menstrual Health (capitalregionm...), has distributed over 180,000 period products to date and delivers outreach programs for youth and adults in libraries and schools.

Terrific work by these UAlbany MPH students! They discovered an inequity that affects the overall health of so many in the community and took positive and successful steps to address the problem.
