Addressing the 1 Way Diesel Performance situation...

I’m sorry you had to go through that as well. We had a terrible experience ourselves with One Way Diesel when we took my husband’s work truck in to get the transmission repaired. We paid an initial deposit to get the work started, but the job dragged on with excuse after excuse-first it was COVID, then there was a death, and so on. It took so long that my husband ended up buying another vehicle. Eventually, we just asked to pick up the transmission so we could have it fixed elsewhere. In the end, we never got the transmission or the core back. The only thing we managed to recover was the small deposit we paid, which didn’t come close to covering the amount we lost overall. Between paying for a new core, since ours was never returned, and the transmission repair, we were out about $15,000. I definitely wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I dealt with them off and on for 3 years starting back in 2018 doing my tuning, fass system, head studs, 2nd gen swap on turbo, exhaust and transmission, customer service always sucked truck was always in the shop for way to long and always lots of excuses, I got 327k miles out of factory 68rfe my trucks been in their shop 3 times in 3 years for the transmission total of 50k miles and not once would they cover it under warranty that I supposedly had so I have around $13,500 in a transmission that I could have upgraded to a much better transmission if I knew I was going to put that much in it, also had retighten my own exhaust studs after blowing out gaskets, had to bring it back for pretty bad fuel leak less than 3000 miles after fass system.

From what I can gather, it seems like they totaled that truck and then sent you the bill for it. Totaled meaning that it will cost more to fix it than it's worth. Oh, don't fix it. It's a good ad for how NOT to do it. Park it out front where it gets loads of attention and as a reminder where NOT to do business.

They did a 12 valve swap on my 99 v10 dodge. After waiting 6 months. I went and did the swap myself in there shop. Then they put a used radiator in and was supposedly full of rust. Come to find out later when I did radiator flush it was stop leak they put in it. And the crack that was on the block started leaking. That's when I figured out they had sold me a cracked 12 valve. And they put stop leak to cover up the leak on the block

I watched this truck being built. I watched them bring a wrecked truck in and graph parts from it onto your brand new truck. I watch them hack up the middle doors and I watched him do the frame. The truck should’ve been on a frame table to where the geometry would be correct and that should have been arc welded not mig welded, I cut frames and modify them all the time. I have a Ford truck here right now that I shorten the frame 18 inches and it was arc welded with 100% penetration . the interior components that he used are from a junkyard that’s a given. I put a used 2010 super duty interior in my own personal truck and yeah I have the nicks and dings and scratches but if I was doing a build of this caliber, I would’ve purchased everything brand new from Ford, I wish you well on your endeavor. It’s great looking. I hope You can have a reputable shop repair it where it can be safe to drive. Maybe Dave kindig can save it .

I sincerely hope youre able to shut them down permanently. I know several people who have been screwed over and hit hard financially by those theives. Ideally theyd be jailed and taken out of society, they will never be able to do anything other than take advantage and steal from people.

Honestly watching the other hour long video makes me not want to buy fass products. I get it things arent perfect and things need to be addressed but a lot is just nitpicking custom work. Custom builds can take years to build with countless hours and can still have faws. Myself and countless others have had constant problems with fass products and we haven't made a website trying to destroy them. This just doesn't seem like a good business move.

yeah, a big time fuel manufacture should never share their story of dealing with a crooked shop to warn people who use their products about staying away and saving money. maybe watching that hour long video should have shown you something. a build of this caliber doesnt need to be done in a shop where the builds are 36 inches away from each other and being done by people who are not masters in their craft. lord knows chase and tommy arent masters at anything except getting people to write checks and sitting on peoples vehicles for 6 months or more before anything happens to them. the moral of the story is, it doesnt matter what you think as this is whats going on with a truck that is essentially paid for by customers. if this doesnt make you want to buy fass products, i question, have you ever purchased a fass product? lord knows i have and ill do it again.

I don’t think you guys in this thread understand, FASS is doing something that none of the little guys that have gotten taken advantage of have the means or reach to do. Everyone has problems but purposely taking advantage of people and stealing is a whole other level. If you think these guys are wrong please take your personal vehicle out to 1way and let them work on it for you, then come back and reply to this.
