The thing is IF DoorDash had just kept paying dashers well instead of cutting, cutting, and more cutting, then people would not be exploiting the system. It does not matter how they "Fix" the system. Some one will always figure out how to make the system work for them. They will share that. It will always get out.

@@PatriotsTribe I agree with you 100% there. When I first started dashing, I could easily go out and make close to 200 in 8 to 10 hours straight no breaks. Shop and pay orders were great, getting 10 to 15 dollars for 4 to 5 items from Walgreens or CVS. Then I got a $25 for 20 items at Target, that turned into a 2 hour nightmare, because they were out of several items and customer was irritatingly slow responding to substitutions requests. Of course, no self checkout available either and spent 45 minutes waiting in line for checkout. It was a dang busy day. After that I just got a bunch of crap orders to Dollar General paying less and less and less. When my card broke, I disabled it in the app and haven't done shop and pay since. Even before that it had gotten to a point where it took 12 to 15 hours to make the same amount. There was one really frustrating day that I started at 6A to 12:00a midnight. I did take about 1 hour total break that day but still only made 160 bucks. Now if it is less than $.80 a mile I will accept, then let it time out till I can unassign with no penalty. Even then I am LUCKY to keep above 60 AR.

When I first started dashing, I watched several dasher chanels to try to learn the ropes. Ultimately I landed on your chanel being the only one I watched because you are in my market and super positive. You know what I learned? That you dash, give guitar lesons, and have a you tube chanel. So I dash, have art I sell, and another side hustle that brings money and joy. You taught that the purpose of dashing was to be in control of ones own schedule and mindset, in both dashing and life. I am sorry you are dealing with all of this. It is absolutely ridiculous. Some people just need to have a bad guy, and are shocked when their lives suck. Keep your head up, as you always do, and know their are people that love ya, both in Vegas and beyond.

@@madelinemann1714 search Google for "Hertz DoorDash" and it'll automatically enter 2 promo codes. Then I'd shop by location and look for a smaller retail or airport location for the best deals. You'll see the prices fluctuate. I was paying $28/day but what's important is if you have access to a credit card like Amex or something of that nature it will cover your insurance. You also can just add it to your insurance for typically less. I went the credit card route because it drops your overhead costs.

Usually, when I watch people doing DoorDash in the same state, I’m at and everything else I don’t try because you can get the alert and somebody else I know how the stuff works. I guess people still don’t understand that but the way I worked the system I do more than just DoorDash I’m a Lyft driver too and that’s my main gig, but I’m trying to get to where things can go back to back and I can. Sometimes you have to pick up the crappy orders to get the good orders where that I don’t sit there and refuse. I try to earn time anymore, but I don’t I don’t see the point

If u want to give positivity and encourage people to do better in their life there are many other channel options u could have chosen. There is no reason to promote positivity and encouragement while omitting the key to your success. Your very good at using words to hide the intent of your actions. No all I did was show people my experience what a high AR would give you. The same thing DD does by showing you directly in the app raise your AR to get better offers. I gave 100% accurate info, you can't deny all the order I received in fact came from holding a high AR. How I got there is irrelevant.

Any summary to this? I know people shit on you for praising the AR thing and I know why. Short answer is its relatively market dependent imo. In my market (or really anywhere in cali probably) it goes really far. Its necessary even. not saying you still wont get a crap order but I'd rather take a couple crap ones to actually keep a consistent flow of orders over 30 min to 5 hour waits (yes without 50% ar (old rewards)) I had to wait several hours one day, driving around town as well. that was a brutal grind. Top dasher was op for me, post honeymoon if thats really a thing I'm not sure. Platinum was slightly worse but I think a lot of drivers became platinum in the first week. Really what it comes down to is your area, either way we're not making crazy money. its convenient money, you're your own boss, if you have a low gas efficient vehicle it wont go as far. You can do whatever whenever, no forced scheduling. I feel that its ideal to supplement this, I worked as a programmer and did this on the side (I was not paid well) I've quit that job now to do this full time (it pays better even with my old low mileage vehicle). Which is a little unfortunate to say considering I spent a bunch of time getting a degree and grinding for that one job, I'll continue with it till I get a proper paying job. I love driving though plain and simple. I'd do this for the sake of it being a hobby.
