I feel bad because i was the one who suggested giving the food to a homeless man but tonight a homeless man ask for spare changed and i said i dont have any ( i really dont have any tho and only a couple hundred dollars in my bank account rn) but i feel bad like i shouldve said no but i can buy you a soda or snack or something but i also get scared cus im a lil white guy if they wanted to rob my car they probably could if i wasnt already in it 🫤 idk next time a homeless man does that should i offer to buy them a soda or something??

You shouldn't feel bad about keeping the food. I had a delivery (UE) about a month ago that was $18 for like 7.5 miles. It was at the end of my shift, going to an expensive hair salon (I figured the owner bought a shitload of food for all of her workers at the end of the day). I was tired, but I took it when I saw how big the order was (prob $300-400 from an expensive place). Long story short, I get there, and the woman was all flustered and said that she was at the salon yesterday, but was now at her house, about 8 miles away (no freeway). I said no problem, I'll get it done, I'll get you you're food, ma'am, no matter what. Made the whole trip to her mansion (inside of a gated community), and ended up not getting anything extra...No cash tip, and the total remained at the $18 shown to me on the offer screen ($12 tip). Wanted to be the good guy (but also thought for sure I'd get extra compensation from her for my efforts), but pretty much got taken advantage of when she was the one who made the mistake. I would have been well within my right to complete that order at the hair salon, and keep the food.

Just started door dashing a few days ago and it's been pretty bad. Waiting like 30min - 1hr between offers in supposed "busy" areas, I've been told there's a learning curve but this is sucking real bad so far :(
