About the Rose Ellen Dix song: Wayfloe (who made the song) is a male Indie/Electronic duo from Paris. No one knows too much about them (they're known for being pretty mysterious) but they're actually fairly well established artists now, their album Neon West (where you can find Rose Ellen Dix) features legit stars from around the world and stuff! The Rose Ellen Dix song was written and composed by Dylan (the black guy in the duo), and he explained on Instagram before the release of the album that Rose and Rosie's content helped him get through a very difficult time and that Rose in particular is someone he relates to a lot. Most of the album is about his battle with depression and Rose Ellen Dix is a closing act that works as a vehicle to portray the idea that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that things get better. Highly recommend their music! Been a huge fan of theirs since 2017, and I lost my mind when they announced the tracklist of the album a week before the release and saw that the final track was titled "Rose Ellen Dix". on the subject of lesbian youtubers breaking up: i'm a 16 year old girl in a conservative small town and i really don't expect to find a girlfriend here. which is fine i guess, because i'm still young and in high school so i don't feel like i NEED to be dating someone. but i'm absolutely terrified that i'll never find anyone because so many lesbian couples online break up and they're the only examples of lgbt couples that i have. i still love the other youtube lesbians and i'm in no way trying to say that they themselves are bad influences (Stevie's educational content is amazing for people in my situation!), but Rose and Rosie are one of the only good role models for lesbian couples online.
