Adelaide comedian has shows cancelled over women’s rights views

Comedian Biddy O’Loughlin discusses the cancelling of her shows in Adelaide for speaking her mind on women’s rights issues.
“I can’t prove all the things I lost and all the gigs I lost but I have definitely suffered for speaking up about women’s rights,” Ms O’Loughlin told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“I think a woman is an adult female and we should have our sex-based rights secured in law.”

Both the Duke of York and the Crown and Anchor are struggling with business. The Crown and Anchor just a couple of months ago were holding “Save The Cranker” rallies in light of that pub closing. You would think that these pubs would be happy to have bands and comedians at their venues to keep these businesses going and not to cave to the very few, who are not doubt in the minority.

The save the Cranker rallies (which Biddy attended) were not from lack of business, they were protesting a developer. The show at the Cranker was an open mic, nobody was going to see Biddy, it wasn't sold out. She lost her gig at the Duke because of her unprofessional reaction to losing her spot at the Cranker. The Cranker has won multiple SAMA's for being the best live music venue in the state, they don't an anti-trans activist cosplaying as a comedian because her mum was well known to bring in business.
