Pleasant tribute of an ordinary life during extraordinary times. Very much as the Prince and Princess of Wales intend - not for servants - but the standard of their young family to be living there as the treat intended to be so close to the Queen. It is tragic that it was a fairy tale that never came true. Would have been amazing had that idilyic life happened and the Queen's death not come so soon. Imagine the perfect ending to the Queen's life to have been showered by love and family. But beautiful they all tried! God save the people who value life and each other💞🌎😇

well the Queen did get to see a lot of her family and both her Son's Edward and Andrew were in or very close to Windsor. She had also built a small team of people who she saw every day all handpicked... Its not like she missed out on anything other than the Peace of Mind that Harry and Meghan could have given her and the contact of yet more great grandchildren... BUT Im sure her Loss isnt as Great as Theres.

Great to finally see some good photos. The Cottage is way too small for the Pr and Prss of Wales. I thought their move there was a nonsense. There is also York house and Appleby house on the Windsor estate, both are probably too small as well.

Why have a Voice over? Clearly this is not the insert person who narrates it. And frankly, I’d consider this breach of privacy and security for the current residents: The Prince and Princess of Wales.

Yes, the voice is terrible, nearly as bad as my own. But unlike most other published videos it at least provides truly reliable pics and info about the old cottage, mostly being of historical interest, at least for our families worldwide. No doubt the internals of both houses have been altered/improved considerably and if visited today we would scarcely recognise the rooms, but hopefully its exterior has been retained. Anyway I am pleased to say that the vast majority of comments have been positive.

The servants made life viable in those large houses. After two world wars everything changed for people didn't want to be 'in service' any more.
