Adelaide to Victor Harbor Timelapse, South Australia

Driving 87km from Norwood (3km from Adelaide CBD) to Victor Harbor via South Road/Main South Road (A13), Southern Expressway (M2) and Victor Harbor Road (A13).
We bypass the population centres of Noarlunga, McLaren Vale and Willunga. This route is a strong blend of city driving through Adelaide's southern suburbs and country driving through the Fleurieu Peninsula region!
87 km compiled into a 6 minute timelapse/drivelapse (77 minutes real time).

One of my favorite things to do during the spring and summer times is to ride to Victor on my bike through windypoint and blackwood. It's an amazing route to do if you are into your driving or riding !

CountryMusic52 Thanks, the M2 (southern expressway is only 21km long but an interesting fact about it was it used to be the world's longest one-way reversible freeway. It has only been uograded recently!

Adelaide has a very long term plan to turn all of South Road into a freeway by acquiring properties on one side. Several sections have already been done including Torrens Road to Torrens River and currently the Darlington section shown in this video is under construction with the next section to go at Regency Road further north. This was a result of land for a north south freeway sold off years ago with the section retained being the Noarlunga Freeway which is today's Southern Expressway.

Thanks I'm glad you liked it! You would be correct in assuming I started in Norwood! I work in Norwood so headed down to Victor Harbor from there. The song is called "In the Mood" by Danya Vodovoz. Refer to my description which has the details. He has many other good songs too

ReaLzEdits Thanks mate! I'm glad you liked it. I would recommend Horseshoe Bay Caravan in Port Elliot, which is about an 8km drive east of Victor Harbor. The beaches down there are stunning! It is about a 90 minute drive from Adelaide so it can also easily be done in a day trip!

Victor Harbor is a coastal town in South Australia. From the waterfront, horse-drawn trams cross the causeway to Granite Island, home to a wild penguin colony. Steam locomotives pull the Cockle Train to nearby Goolwa, a gateway to the wetlands of the Murray River Mouth. Offshore, southern right whales frequent the waters of Encounter Bay. The Heysen Trail runs across the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis.
