I'm on year 8 of protracted withdrawal now compounded by early perimenopause so it's so hard to tell what's what. I wish I never went on Lexapro! I didn't find Adele's forum until 4 yrs into WD so the damage had already been done. I still have pressure in my head daily since April 2017 along with fibromyalgia-like symptoms such as unrestful sleep, achy tight burning muscles all in my neck and back mainly and horrific cycles now and spurts of awful anxiety/heart racing etc....I'm a single mom with 0 family, no car and no money due to being unable to work. I'm on disability and feel so stuck to help myself. I've tried everything I can afford but nothing takes away all my symptoms. I'm so depressed and feeling hopeless.

Same. No doctor believed my adverse reaction and WD. They said it was my anxiety. When things go wrong with AD, there is no help. Knew I wasnt crazy when joined surviving antidepressant. Dr was wrong.

Great interview! She’s a treasure. I used her 2020 article for a paper I did on menopause. Instead of giving women HRT, providers are giving antidepressants. It’s a crime.

A red flag 🚩 that I should have taken more seriously was when the therapist/doctor said “antidepressants work for some and not for others”

Tramadol has SSRI/ SSNI components I had a self taper for a month...than after a year I quit drinking and smoking cigarettes as well as tapered off 25 mg of Seroquel which has thrown me into nothing less than Terrifying Intrusive thoughts... Seriously I believe the Tramadol is an unknown dangerous drug given for a pain condition...Thank you for your content... thinking of joining your active tapering support group!🙏🍀...

I have stopped taking fluexetine for about a year now. I am ok Ang I have pinpointed the source of my depression. Before my father died 2 yrs. Ago we have patched things up we were ok. That was the source of my depression. I was happy because we were okay before he left this world. The only meds I am taking now is ability. I gradually decrease the intake until I finally

Hi I have a question, I just been diagnosed so I'm confused on akathisia. Are withdrawals from the medication different from taking a medication and getting akathisia. I read and hear people talk about a burning sensation and being so painful and having zaps in their brain is that from coming off withdrawing from the medication or is that side effect different from getting at the akathisia from a medication? I hope I made sense... or do different people with the different medications have different akathisia symptoms.

Yes there are different kinds of Akathisia. It can happen from taking a drug or coming off a drug. Both kind will heal.

The drug companies should be legislated against to make hyperbolic doses available. You can get titration packs innEU but not in uk. A uk Gp can write a script to them and they will supply at a cost but mine refused to read literature. A group of medical superiors humans cast aside the scum they peddle this crap to. Exercise, sleep, diet are the hardest to achieve in this hell hole
