Was actually recorded in the same room as the live video. Live video was her FIRST time singing it after being written. The video also was NOT recent. Over a year old and she decided to upload for the album launch. She only has sung the song 2 more times for the final album version. She was so emotionally invested in this song that she only felt comfortable and available to sing it in this room. So they turned it into a recording studio by adding padding and blankets in the room to separate the piano and vocals. So what we are hearing is RAW. This is also the same room where When we were young was written.

The song is a raw masterpiece... - a raw diamond and even more impressive because it is so amazing in its raw form and not refined in any way. The piano leaves as much room as possible without disappearing fully and then the lyrics and the voice. Your review did great justice to this masterpiece and I thank you for your lack of words!!! BTW I totally agree with you regarding this song.... definitely her most dynamic vocal performance so far! 😏🧡 Unfortunately she has said she will likely never sing It live because it is too raw for her emotionally! Oh and an interesting fact for you..... she doesn't believe in re-recording over and over to get the final cut because u loose the emotion in the song, so this was probably only recorded once or twice, as was everything she records!!!.... Oh and this was recorded in the same room as that live one... They had to pad out the piano with blankets etc so they could both be recorded in the same room and still pick up her voice! 😏🤗.... I bet the fact that she doesn't re-record, probably has a lot to do with her success too? 🤔
