If I remember correctly, this did very successful in sales and was the reboot (not story wise) that MK deserved. Now we have the NRS era with devs who think that Sindel was a thot and a legion of Mileena fan virgins giving Ed Boon death threats. As fun as and awesome looking as the current MK games are, I still miss the Midway era. Good thing the fans are keeping the old games alive with hacks and M.U.G.E.N.

The closes bands that still make nu-metal songs I can think of are Tetrarch. The lead singer of that band sounds so much like Chester from Linkin Park and the meaning of the songs also really bring in an early 2000’s Linkin Park vibe. Especially their songs I’m not right and You never listen. Definitely suggest you give it a try if you want to hear new nu-metal songs!

We're face to face Loyalty is what I need to see from you You're insecure I can see the fear that breeds in your heart Where will you run? Where will you hide? I see the blood Drip from your eyes Who will survive? Let's get it on And we'll fight! I know who you are The leader of lost souls You can't kill me I'm immortal I'm not afraid to die My soul will travel on You can't kill me I'm immortal Immortal Immortal I need the rush there's nowhere you can hide before you die Why won't you face me? I can see the fear that's in your eyes Where will you run? Where will you hide? I see the blood Drip from your eyes Who will survive? Let's get it on And we'll fight! That second verse starting at @1:30 grabs you and pulls you in and the journey of the bass hitting lower and lower notes until @1:37 when the bass sounds like “ow wub wub” is super nice and groovy.
