Is there any difference in coco peat and peat moss? Can we use peat moss as well?
@GardeningNeedsPatience
@GardeningNeedsPatience 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, both are different things... Cocopeat is byproduct of coconut & peat moss is mainly made up of dried sphagnum moss & other organic matter. But, sorry i don't know the exact outcome of this procedure with peat moss, because i haven't tried with it 🙏.
@RJain312
@RJain312 5 жыл бұрын
I think it might just work with peat moss as it has the same aerated and water retention capacity as cocopeat. But use Fungicide - that's imp. However, cocopeat is fairly easily available. But tread with caution. And let us know the result, if you try.

Cinnamon is a natural rooting hormone and fungicide. Can dip fresh cuts in let dry 7 days and pot. Willow paste/water is awesome or even putting Willow stick cutting in soil vertically next to any plant you want to root and the Willow sap will run down and infuse with soil. Old school knowledge. Also watering 1x month with peroxide at a ratio of 1:5 water is proven to help with root stimulation/pest/fungus control and it arates the soil. Peroxide decomposes into water after it reacts. I've done this with, pothos, peace lily, cat to majesty palms, monstera delisiosa and swiss cheese one, Jade, aloe, cactus and sucs as well as my plethora of bonsai . And to clean critters off moss I collect and other foraged brick a brack. Plants are amazing! If you read this far then accept my apology for budding in with a rant.

Very nice, I've got a couple of questions; can you do this procedure with any branch from the plant or does it need to have roots? And, what procedure do you recomend to make the roots thicker as the plant grows, sort of a bonzai way, thanks in advance for your advice!
@GardeningNeedsPatience
@GardeningNeedsPatience 5 жыл бұрын
Yes we can do this procedure with branch also.. check my video how to grow adenium cuttings... After performing all the steps just let the plant to grow... After 6 months or while next repotting, observe the roots system first... As you can see in my video, many roots developed around the caudex region... If i let them grow then they can overlap... So you have to decide, which roots you want to keep... & Cut the adjacents roots... Follow this step in clockwise or anticlockwise.... By doing this , you creating space for the roots to grow further... arrange the roots on soil surface and again repot it and let it grow...🙏
