I really don't get why people think this is a huge fight? Connor really hasn't done anything noteworthy in the sport, and most of the British public (the ones who even know who he is) don't like him lol. His last 2 fights weren't great and he talks about world title shots like he even deserves one. Not to mention he failed 2 drugs tests. It baffles me that anyone would spend their hard earned cash to watch him live.

Maybe that’s because he has to sit on his punches more because he’s 40+ and can’t move like he did before. Barrios is the weakest champ at 147 so it’s Conor’s only chance.

There's more to the Benn v Eubank fight not being made than money. The purse split is simple; both fighters take 40 or 45% with the winner scooping the remaining 10 or 20%. If you fancy yourself that much then it's a no brainer you'll leave with the bigger purse, not to mention bragging rights. I think the weight issue might serve as more of a stumbling block. Even at a catch weight I feel sure you'd see a diminished performance from one or both fighters.
