So, for the bit starting at 31:45 , it basically works like this: When a leader unit joins another unit, they become part of the unit and the new, combined, unit has all the keywords of both. So, for example, if a Spirit Seer were to join a unit of Wraith Guard, then that unit would have the character and, I assume, psyker keywords. This means that an attack, ability, enhancement, strategem ot etc. that has anti-psyker or targets a character or psyker unit would effect the Wraith Guard unit. However, abilities, attacks, enhancements, strategems or etc. that specify character or psyker models would only have an effect on the Spirit Seer because it's the only character or psyker model in that unit.

So for 8:55 about how you deal with big tanky stuff is like any other army. A big thing will likely have a invulnerable save so AP past a certain point is negligible, you want high strength and high damage stuff, and if you can only have one of those choose the high strength as if it doesn't have high damage you'll likely have extra shots/attacks to compensate. Devastating wounds are good as well as they won't get a save. Alternative you could play tactically and ignore it as if a huge knight or Baneblade cost X00 amount they have to kill their points worth in the game to get value so hiding and ignoring them is viable. Also as a Chaos Knight player just literally get in melee with a big knight because as imposing as they are to play against we fall over like a stack of cards when something hits us in melee as our invulnerable save for big knights only works for shooting.

10:06 The reson why that's good on them/was good (I can't remember If they changed the wording back or not) but baisicly we have devestating wound which at the time inflicted mortal wound. Mortal wound is a type of damage that go trough all saves except for feel no pain. Custodians have 2+ save, 4+ invol, T6 (or more) 3-4W/model and you could bring blocks of 10 with a special character that can res fallen units. with this on top there was effectively no good way to deal with them. I think they could even tank knights easily.

If I'm not mistaken many things in this video are outdated by now (which is a thing for basicly every army with a codex).

@@richardduska1558 They definitely are. I know GW updates stats and stuff every 3 or so months. Aeldari's Strings of Fate got nerfed hard since 10th began.

@@KipReacts And changed completely for their codex. Now it's a weird "The number you roll on the die lets you use that specific stratagem for less CP" thing, and limited to a single detachment. Because they cannot make their minds up on how things should work.

@Rukdug It's interesting to watch them try and balance the game. Aeldari still perform after their Strings of Fate nerf, and Custodes obviously still won a big tournament.

@@KipReacts Well TS is still relatively strong after 2-3 nerfs? But again we only 1 detachments and a very VERY small model count. It rely dose not feel good when you are punished for playing the game the only way you can. And we got a new detachemnt which is fine and fun for casual games but the OG is still stronger. Warhammer balancing is.... certainly something.

sisters of silence vs psyker primarch go brrrrr when playing eldar against custodes, use your higher range and mobility. other than the land raider, eldar have the advantage in ranged weaponry.

Ok this was depressing. It reminded me of how great the custodes rules were before codex neutered them... This edition is such a disappointment in comparison to what it could have been if they actually try
