This is part 1 of a conversation I had with two ayahuasca shaman while on retreat in Peru in May 2019.
A lot of what I ask here are on behalf of others, who have asked questions on either reddit or in the comments sections of my videos, and so in some cases I am being somewhat of a "devils advocate" here.
Also I fully appreciate that the translation can be a little bit clunky in places, but I think overall the spirit of the conversation comes across fairly well, and provides some interesting insights into the mindset and motivations of these unique characters.
One thing that really stood out for me in this conversation was just how sincere Misael and his father were in their belief in what they do. I'm sure some people might disagree with the details, but you cannot argue with how committed they are to their chosen path. This is a dedicated lifestyle, and when you hear about the various dietas and what these people sacrifice, then any accusations of "charlatans making a cash grab" begins to look ridiculous.
Here is a link to part 2 - • Adeptus & friends #2 -...
Here are the timestamps for the individual questions
02:18 Introduce yourselves and tell us about your background
04:03 Have your family always been shaman

08:15 What do you think about people who take ayahuasca without a shaman present
11:05 Will taking ayahuasca negatively effect my existing religious beliefs
13:26 Can ayahuasca heal conditions like epilepsy
16:00 Do you see any difference in healing between physical body and mind
17:40 Where does the healing come from - is it me, the shaman, or the medicine

Thank you so much for spotlighting these beautiful Shipibo guides. It’s so important to emphasis the quality and the experience and intention of the Shaman in ceremony. I can feel through his voice how pure His heart is. Thank you so much for asking these questions and sharing on KZbin. This video is tremendously valuable

Thanks Leti! It was a privilege to be able to talk to these shaman and to hear what they had to say on these topics, its definitely one of my favourites from all the videos I have done. It was also a lot of work to do the translations and put the subtitles together, so I'm glad that people like yourself are enjoying it. Thanks for watching!

Cool isnt it! One of the staff there has a bitvof an obsession with Dharma, and that image works really well in the ceremony space. Since i saw it ive been thinking about getting some of Android Jones’s stuff for my apartment, i love his work :)

they say 'the eyes are the windows of the soul'...they all look intense ...'the heart is dark and mysterious WHO can know it' if god controls everything ie-'the whole universe is underneath his throne' -'i am the lord who creates evil' -all things come from the lord' ...'can evil happen a city and the lord not do it' yes the sovereignty of the lord states we dont even control ourselves -'the kings heart is in my hands' even though we are blameworthy for all get ur head round that paradox ! 'shall the clay say to the potter why have you made me this way'...SIN is the issue for all and what can you do about it---nothing----'many are called few are chosen '...'no one can come unto to lord least he is called' we cant move lack of ability -'salvation is of the lord not of him that willeth or runneth'...now many false prophets will deceive many even those that are in the ministry -'many will say on that day ,lord lord did we not heal the sick in your name and cast out demons in your name? depart from me you workers of iniquity i never knew you'... but remember the lord who controls all even controls illusions and false ways..'for they loved not the truth so i will sent they a strong delusion that they may believe a lie and be damned '....but conversely - 'a hearing ear and a seeing eye the lord hast made them both..good luck...i used to trip seen some archetypes ie dragons with eyes shut..lots of synchronicity etc but developed a pride coz because i had the same vision thought i was selected by something to have it.....probably the lost i was ever period
