The terminal looks fantastic! A couple minor adjustments I would consider if you are doing any further revisions: -change the bonus to Command checks to read "friendly titans within 8" receive a +1 to Command Checks." It's more organically read and matches GW's writing style better (conditions to trigger an effect should come before the effect) -for the M-shaped critical track, make the first critical hit circle green. This will make the color progression green-yellow-orange-red mirror the reactor track, without having the current yellow-orange on the 2-3 (it's too similar to the yellow and orange, mudding things up). Also, it gives a visual signal of "it's all good!" that we associate with green, being that there is no effect. Right, now to watch the game!

Great bat rep. Something different and really enjoyed it. Balancing the Warbreaker is clearly a challenge but that doesn’t stop the fun. I’m not sure that Titan could have hit above the ankles but he had heart. Loved the strats; 6 becomes one was a Spices Girls song I think…

Fun batrep as always. Pretty board with pretty titans. For suggestions: Drop the 'full maniple' rule. If an Emperor is ever fighting its part of a massive effort. The game board is only 'zooming in' the the particular battle grid where your particular forces are fighting. There is stuff going on around it. It's not like the Emperor is going on a stroll by itself. Up the armor values by one on everything. It's bigger than a warmaster it should have better armor. Plus, the games were this thing is brought should have enough points to bring big guns. Or, when you know you are facing it, you should bring strats to help you Crack it. Both thematically and in game terms, if someone brings one, the choice is either go after it or ignore/mitigate it. There are strats that play into both strategies and its a choice the opposing player will have to make when they see it in the list. Make the apoc. And Eruption cannon 'turrets' paired, like Warlord Carapace weapons. Always allow the 'fortress' to fire one weapon during the movement phase, regardless of orders after it has completed its movement. If the Warbreaker goes on split fire or first fire, it can fire two weapons from the fortress (split fire after it has completed its movement). The fortress weapons may always fire at seperate targets, but must do so in a manner like split fire (ie you allocate the weapons to targets before you fire). Just always having the entire warbreaker on split fire gives it too much. You should still have to give something up (mobility) to be able to do it. However, if you do, you get more shots with the fortress. Increase the ardex like you mentioned. Give its smash attacks concussive (it's just so big). Can't wait to see what you cook up in v10.

i think rules wise, the breaker could have a free split fire in addition to any other orders, for the howdah at least, as well as gyros. this should encourage it to move into the board a bit more. i really like that, although its very powerful, a canny player can confound it with things like blind barrage. it would be interesting to see how it copes with lots of small units of knights rushing into melee. also, a terrain dense board would make it almost irrelevant. so its far from overpowered.

Are splitting it's fire I think is necessary due to so many guns on one unit. Strats will confound any engine I can't start saying they won't affect a Warbreaker 😄

Hey Tabletop_Standard! The Warbreaker looks amazing and frankly it’s super intimidating on the board. As far as the rules are concerned, I agree that a full maniple being needed makes a lot of sense on a fluff standard, but functionally I agree that it could go without it as it could lead to situations where a lot of players might not have enough models to actually match the points in a full scale battle like that. As far as the weapons are concerned, I think I’d love to see the smaller tower weapons have gun arcs that encompass their corners of the palace since they really do look like turrets at the end of the day. for example the front left apocalypse array could have a gun arc that includes the front and left sides of the titan. Applying this idea to all the small tower guns means the rear guns might actually see combat rather than just eating up points and never seeing play. It could also lead to fun broadside moments since both the guns on the left or right side will be able to fire at the same target. Which brings me to my final point. In the base rules, unless you use split fire, all to use weapons must be directed at the same target. I feel like the weapons up top should be exempt from this rule except for maybe the mega cannon. The Warbreaker is a one man army after all and being forced to dump all its shots into the same target is certainly less than ideal. It also means that if something does actually wander into the arcs of the rear guns, you’d have to decide between not using all of your weapons to get some pot shots in vs actually using your weapons on something else. Anyway, those are just some surface thoughts as I’m jumping into this video. I’ll likely edit this as I go deeper into checking out the rules for the model. Cheers!

Came here to say the same thing about the use of weapons. It might be worth exploring if there’s any credit in giving it a trait called ‘fire at will’ or ‘independent fire’. With the number of moderati, and it being a one-person army as said above, I think it would be striding across the battlefield shooting at whatever it wants. Maybe keep the main weapons having to shoot the same target unless split fire order given. Just my thoughts but otherwise an interesting game. Thanks.

Thanks for the Input Matthew. Yeah I agree I'm going to bin the full maniple part of the rule. As for arcs I'll play around with it, I like the idea of flanks being a weak point on any engine. And I do have a mobile fortress rule in mind around the thing splitting fire. Glad you like the model and again thanks for the great feedback

A quick side note, I don’t know how getting music works on KZbin with all the copyrights and stuff, but the channel could use a wider variety of battle music, or at lease battle music that loops seamlessly into itself. I’d probably binge all the batreps if it didn’t mean listening to the same song on loop. Aside from that the quality of the models, tables, and players are all top tier.

😅 You're not the first person to mention this. Basically there is a free library of music I can use without copyright. And it's let's say OK at best. It's a matter of spending time crawling through it for something appropriate then creating a loop long enough for a bat rep... It's on my radar just a bit of a chore

Double laser hounds I think can make for very good knight/warhound killers. They can aim their shots and at strength 8 they can do some damage. They would perform more like the Direwolf and be a fire support warhound rather than more of a battleline. A lupercal maniple with 2 double laser hounds and 3 shield strippers with mega bolters etc could be quite effective of expensive. In regards to the Legio Venator being able to swap reavers for warlords, the venator maniple looks terrifying and something i might actually consider for my own titan force. No one likes being slapped with a belicossa when they've just lost their shields

Titanicus for me is a game for fun so competitive goes out the window, that and going to forge world for single weapon options isn't something I necessarily want to do. Then again my force originally was only going to have 1 warlord with a bunch of reavers and hounds from the starter boxes

Thanks mate glad you think so. Much like anything GW drops o always experience excitement and trepidation. I've been involved with GW games for over 30 yrs of highs and lows so you never know how it pan out. I'm big fan of the Armageddon rules so if it plays anything like that im all in.

Maybe the breaker could nominate 2 targets a turn max, 1 for the arm moderati's and another for the shoulder moderati's? Maybe it could be an ancillary reactor ability, or a base Ability that adds heat when you trigger it? Also I think if it ever does a smash attack give it concussive?

Even before the game had begun, it was clear that the Warbreaker didn't stand a chance. The three reavers alone are a match for the five hounds, while the banner of knights ensures victory. That leaves the Warbreaker to stand alone against three lesser, yet still armoured and powerful titans who will easily destroy it. Once the Hounds are gone, the surviving reavers and knights are also free to then turn on the Warbreaker...the poor chap can't get a Break! One of those warhounds should be replaced with a Warbringer titan, and I recommend reducing the core cost of the Warbreaker to around 1000 points to allow this. Also, for playtesting purposes only, have a titanic clash game that sees a Warbreaker vs a Warmaster, and give them both a pair of warlords. If the victory goes to the Warbreaker maniple, but endures considerable damage then you'll know that you're on the right track... Good work though and it was a fun video to watch.

Thanks Steven. Yeah pointing is a tough one. I have reduced it bit 1000 points is less than a Warmaster. I've made a lot of changes in v10 so look forward to things going forward. In play tests off cam it has faced a Warmaster and an extermagus maniple which really wrecks face! Onwards and upwards 😁

The Emperor Class Titan is not a Battle Titan. It is the Fulcrum of an Entire Legio. It is the Epicenter of a Planetary invasion force. It is the physical embodiment of the Omnissiah made manifest and the ultimate Hammer strike of the Emperor’s final judgement. With your inane rules as presented, it’s barely a step above a Warmaster Titan. Just ridiculous. To summarize this waste of a video; You basically nerfed an Emperor Class Titan to hell. You also played gimmicky stratagems that further distorted your play test. Just a waste of a video. If you own a Warbreaker / Emperor Titan, do yourself a favor and cast this heretical abomination of a terminal back into the shadows from whence it came!

It was designed to be a one Titan army of annihilation for it is the manifestation of the Omnissiah's power and wroth. Dumbing it down by nerfing it as just another Battle Titan barely above a Warmaster, is an utter betrayal of its decades old sacred lore. You have a channel at your disposal to spread the light of truth regarding The Emperor Titan, yet you have instead chosen the path of darkness. You have corrupted its name and spread lies of heresy upon the masses regarding its true power level. Congratulations. You comment was so bad that I finally made a KZbin account just to call you out. Try offering constructive criticism and solutions next time instead of just having a childish meltdown in the corner about how your toys don’t act like how they do in your head. I genuinely get secondhand embarrassment just from reading your comment. For starters, this is a War-breaker, not an imperator or even remotely close to an emperor class titan. Secondly, the titan is “dumbed down” because it needs to be functionally playable without being invincible (a concern explicitly mentioned at the start of the video). Thirdly, “gimmicky” stratagems happen all the time in titanicus (just ask my warlord that moves 35” in a single turn), and not using them would skew how the war-breaker actually plays more than not using them at all. Lastly, they *know* that there are still some issues with the points cost and the rules and are showcasing a battle report with it to show off how amazing of a model it is and to show how the current rules for the model work out on the tabletop for the viewers to review and provide feedback for. So if you’re done frothing at the mouth, I’d love to hear some genuine rule’s recommendations instead of… whatever that was.
