They threw Alex onto this stage way too early. Adesanya has had his downfalls and his struggles coming up. Pereira has just started, this is not really a completely faair and ideal matchup for the guy, but that being said, anything can happen and I'm still excited to watch.

In 2017 Izzy had over 3 times the experience over Poatan AND! Poatan had 10 days to prepare for their second fight also coming from a surgery. A lot has changed and both have improved however.. this will not be a grappling match and Poatan is a serious striker former 2 division Glory champion which Adesanya could never be. Adesanya has been successful in the UFC simply because he’s a much better striker compared to mma fighters but Poatan is a whole different game.

This is going to be a pretty epic fight I believe. Perhaps the greatest middleweight title fight of all time. It has that kind of potential. Two elite kickboxers banging it out in the octagon. This is really the type of fight that legends are made from. If Alex wins Izzys career path will be significantly altered where as if Izzy wins its kind of what's expected and Alex can chop it up to lack of experience in MMA. But he'll be able to climb back up the rankings and fight again for the 185 lbs title. I don't think Izzy will stay at 185 if he loses because it's kind of like a strike 3 your out situation even though the first 2 losses were at kickboxing. The storyline will go so many different directions leading up to this fight and overall its going to be a real treat for us the fans to watch. I can't wait to watch the UFC Embedded series on this.

33-7 in kickboxing is a good record but Izzy has less losses and more than double Alex fights in kickboxing they also fought similar opponents which is very interesting 🤔 Alex beat Wilkins and lost to him I think while Izzy lost 2x by decision to Wilkins but it’s all how you see it I thought Izzy won the 2nd fight against Wilkins 3 rounds to 2 and won the first fight against Alex round 1 n 3 easily so it should be 1-1 but just like every combat sport judges suck hopefully they don’t fuck it up this time In the UFC but hopefully we don’t need the judges I wanna see a K.O idc if Izzy is the one losing I wanna see a banger fight! I'm a fan of adesanya but it's strange to compare his regional level fights to GLORY. Izzy went 2-2 in GLORY while Alex became a multi time defending champion. This would be like saying if someone has a great record in regional mma shows they are better than a multi time Ufc champion who also has several losses on his record like Rafael dos anjos.
