Lara is still very active, her voice still grandiose , her look spectacular, She,s got a new world tour starting in april 2024, mostly Europe and mid/Asia after in June its in Canada Ottawa, Montréal. Québec city and Trois-Rivière, I've got my tickets for the 2 shows in Montréal, can't wait.

The music of Broken Vow was co-composed by Walter Afanassiev and Lara Fabian. Walter Afanassiev, an american/brazilian from russian descent, is a legendary composer and producer (he composed some of the greatest initial hits of Mariah Carey such as All I Want for Christmas is You or Hero and was the producer of the Titanic soundtrack that brought Celine Dion to WW fame). He is also now the producer of Dimash for his US career. When this song was composed, Walter and Lara were engaged, they were living in San Francisco’s bay area, but apparently he cheated and she decided to break up. When she took this decision, that she knew would dramatically change both her personal and professional destiny, she wrote these incredible lyrics. Lara has said this is her preferred english song from all the songs she wrote in this language (there are many, and some are pure jewels). One reason is also because this song has then been covered by the greatests: - Barbra Streisand (she performed it in concerts from one of her tour but never recorded it), - Josh Groban (his cover made this song famous in US, she is her friend and role model and he made several duets with her), - Linda Eder, - Cakra Khan, - Gigi de Lana, - Regine Velasquez, - Almira (from 4th Impact), - Katrina Velarde, - Julie Anne San Jose, - Sarah Geronimo, - Morissette Amon, - Petra Berger, - Harrison Craig, - Rimar, - Jackie Evancho, - … For Jackie Evancho, and at the request of Jackie's parents who found the original lyrics were not a good fit for a young girl, Lara rewrote Broken Vow in french as "Imaginer" with a complete different meaning. Thank you, Harri. I like your reaction. You are so right. Whenever she sings, she draws one so close, it's like she's becomes really intimate, wanting one to know every detail. Now THAT is one of the big and key differences between Lara and the rest. The thing is, exactly how does she do that? I am sure if you find yourself listening to reaction videos done of Lara by vocal coaches and lecturers, you will learn a lot more. I'll see if I can gather some names of those really fabulous coaches and pass them on to you. Keep in mind that doing reaction videos is an excellent means of getting to know what's currently happening in the world and the development and progress made as we get on with our lives. There are billions of people walk this earth, yet together we live and tell "The Story of Under One Sky". This song is by Dimash Qudaibergen, master and absolute best male vocalist on the planet, yet was majorly influenced by our dearest Lara. What a privilege to be alive during her time and listening to her endearing messages of both joy and pain in song during her reign.

This one, cowritten by Lara, was memorably covered by Josh Groban early in his career. Saw Lara sing live once, just one song, at a Juno Awards (Canadian Grammys) back in the 90s. It was a special program recorded by PBS that was about to be broadcasted nationwide in the USA. It was planned to kick off the US career of Lara who already had some initial success. But Sony, under the pressure of the staff of their main established Diva, abruptly stopped to promote Lara, and it was broadcasted in NYC at late night hours only. Lara was suddenly banned from all tv shows, radio promotion and venues in the US. She had to refocus on Europe and left the US. I'm a huge fan of Lara as well Harri. The greatest song I have ever seen her do was a song she wrote called LOVE BY GRACE. She did an absolutely stunning performance of it at the 2011 Juno awards while barefoot,sitting in a chair and looking straight into the camera. She deliverd the song straight to your soul.

This is a stunnig song indeed but she did not write this one. It’s in fact a country song from Wynona Judd that she completely revisited as a pop hit and became a success in many countries, especially Brazil where it topped the charts for months. @ericsicard910 Yes Wynona did release this song in 1996 and Lara in 1999, but it was Lara I believe who made it famous. It was written by Wayne Tester and Dave Loggins. Of you do a Google search of LOVE BY GRACE original artist, the results come back as Lara Fabian which is why I thought it was originally hers. I've never heard Wynona's version so I will need to listen to that as well. Thanks

(she's the only singer i am almost a fan, ok ok i'm a fan after playing 1000 times her songs ) often people start with 'Caruso', 'Adagio', 'Je suis malade' and well 'Broken vow' which Josh Groban made part of his shows) , talking of Streisand, Lara sing Yentl. One song like because it's let's say introspective is 'A-Wa', oh and she was with Krutoy the composer/pianist that tours with Dimash, with whom she sang only 1 time i think but made everyone happy. And she was in some sort of (dark'ish) musical opera and there's the song "Mademoiselle Hyde'. Just one more "You're not from here"
