Just wanna say thank you for finally coming back to KZbin. You were literally the only show I watched on Blip, and now I can clean that out of my bookmarks. It's nice to be able to put your vids into my Watch Later queue and just sit back and enjoy!

...hang on (goes to wiki). Holy crap, it's the DOS port of the game the kid was playing at the start of the Princess Bride.

Found it a little interesting "Ed Bogas" was credited on music for this. He's probably better known for having done the music to a number of Peanuts specials produced mostly in the 1980's. Reminded my brother had Hardball! for his C64.

Ed bogas also did music for the Garfield TV specials and or cartoons also I think.

temujin9000 For 1987, that wasn't so bad for a game with full animation like this. :o

How about some "Earl Weaver Baseball"? :D -I had it on my IBM 8088 in the Early 90s...and never understood how to play it, also stook to "F-15 II", "Silent Service 2", "Test Drive" or "Leaderboard Golf", wich were also installed on it. ^^

About the bases thing, couldn't they have the button linked to an "I'm going to move" action and then use the joystick to determine what direction to move in? That way, if you wanted to go back you could just move the joystick back in the direction of the other base.
@Pixelmusement9 жыл бұрын
Disthron That would work if you had just one runner. Let's say you have two runners, one on first, the other halfway between second and third. You press up and press the button... are you signaling the guy on first to go to second or the guy going to third to go back to second? This is why you need TWO buttons to do this kind of thing. (In fact, the way the game works with a joystick already has you pressing a direction first, then the button.)

FYI, this game finally got a digital release on GOG and Steam a few months ago, bundled with its sequel for just under USD$10

Interesting... it looks like Atari acquired the rights to them... Makes me wonder what other Accolade titles Atari has the rights to now... :o
