As a now divorced woman I no longer have to hide my bourbon, shoes or handbags from anyone. But here's a few tips for ya. I hid a shit ton of bourbon in my storage closet in the basement. Put it behind some old paint cans. Hid some in the kids closet. The linen closet on the bottom under the just for looking at towels and sheets and in the camping trip cooler when it was winter. I was better at hiding bourbon than he was at cheating. Lol

This is too funny. Only one you forgot that I use sometime is... you get home with 2-3 bottle and the wife is like "what in the world? More bourbon? Seriously?" and I'm like " Babe calm down, I'm just a generous guy and these are for a couple associates at work." so then she says something like " Oh ok, that is so nice of you. I was worried you got more for yourself." Then just slip them to the back of the shelf after a couple days and you are good to go. Best part she thinks you are a nice guy and you get new Bourbon! I can't believe how relatable this is to me... I do most of these things to my girlfriend about my whiskey. Hiding backup bottles in old backpacks in the closet until the one on the shelf runs out, then put the new one in the back. I say, "Oh, yeah that was on sale for like $17 so I got it" as I point to a bottle of Knob Creek SiB. And of course "yeah I had some cash laying around that I never use".

The back of my guitar amp with a built in speaker and open back is a nice hiding place. I had two Larceny BP C921s in there for a while before I was able to make room for one in my cabinet. I've got an Early Times BiB stowed away in a box of several hundred CDs and up until tonight there was a JDSBBP in the garage, but now it's safe in the cabinet 😆🤫

My wife, a scientist, has an eagle eye. She can walk into the front door and spot a "new" bottle from across the room and ask about it. Fortunately, she mostly supports my "collecting" and even buys for me sometimes. (Not cigars though!). It helps that SHE has a mostly full 175 bottle wine fridge!

Here's how I built a "where did all these bottles come from" area. I threw a whiskey tasting party where I said I was going to provide 4 bourbons. My friends each brought a bottle which they generously left at my house. That was now a instant shelf full of 10 bottles. When one goes low or empty, replace it immediately from ur hidden stash n move it to the back. Shhblamsky

The way I used to hide whiskey from Kira (my wife) was by creating an ever present & highly visible distraction: boxes of la croix in the frig and multiple bottles of vodka next to the fridge. That is, until she suddenly started loving bourbons & ryes 2 years ago. And that metamorphosis - my caterpillar wife into a highly inebriated butterfly - has led to my currently failing attempts to start my channel, 'Shelf Turds.'
