The two shoes that I must try this coming year is the adios pro 4 and endorphin elite 2. Those two seem like shoes that have changed in a big way

@@SagasuRunning I woll agree with this, only other close shoe is from a Chinses brand Health and its one Legal higher stack Marathon race shoe using a similar compound to Adios Pro 4 under the shoe and for the outsole compound. In the USA will be If Trump gets his way with tariffs this specific Health model most Expensive Super shoe in the USA for Summer of 2024. Since the model has rarely changed only being the upper that is more like a 2010's Nike Lunerlon Racer model of shoe upper material that micromesh only with a tape/thin rubber style toe bumper instead of the Lunerlon having an older style of toe bumper piece you saw last on older 2000's Nike XC shoes like the Nike Waffle XC/Jenna Waffle XC models and the Nike Miler XC model as well.

Thanks! I currently have all PBs in the AF3 but AP4 is in the box and can’t wait… thanks again

Thanks for making this review. Thanks for confirming my initial observation that AAAP4 is as bouncy as AF3. My pick for the full marathon would still be AF3 since I heard the airpods do not lose their bounce unlike most foams, maybe LSP too, at 30kms. However AAAP4 doesn't have the risk of popping airpods during any run. This is a great time to run where we could enjoy these 2 well engineered running shoes!!!

Thank you for the sharing, so the conclusion is still hard to choose one😊 I have ran the last 2 marathons on the alphafly 3. It is the fastest and best marathon shoes I have ran on. I will try the Pro 4 in a half marathon in coming Feb, and decide which one ,Nike or Adidas, should I wear in Seoul marathon which I intend to break my PB

Would love to see so marathon runs from you. I believe you are very knowledgeable in running and I'm hoping to see you in action.

Tried both. Prefer the AP4 for the longer distance. Better lockdown and a more natural feel. The AF3 felt great at more of the top end speed. Never got along with the booty upper as my feet just kept sliding on me over the distance. Tried tying the laces down and swapping socks, no give after 200 miles.

Nice review, as always. If price is not a consideration, how would the EVO1 rank here for a half, full?

When I hear the foam is so soft that they wonder about the longevity of the Pro 4. Also hearing the “snap” that makes it fast diminishes immensely at 50-60 miles. That sucked a whole lot out of “gotta have them” for the Pro 4.

I Like the new designs where brands are brining back a ever so slightly durable toe bumper be it a piece of Tape or between mesh layers, not like the older trend Addias started in the 2010's of no toe bumper or a toe bumper that is a thicker mesh/tighter weave at most that is part of a one piece mesh upper. ASCIS until recently used this trend the most in almost all the shoes they made except budget/trail models until recently when hidden toe bumpers or the tape like products became the trend. I blame in 2010's the Adidas with the shoes with expensive lifestyle models with the Bounce midsole that were like a clone of a more beefy midsole version of the Nike Free that even cheap Walmart/discount shoe place, models for brands that Avia, Athletech, and older Walmart Starter Copied with some of these brands still making shoes like this today.

I tried both. If these are the only shoes I have to choose from I’d go for Alpha coz Adidas is just too narrow for me. But I actually go for the Vaporfly.

It's amazing how similar these two shoes are because just by visually looking at them side to side, you would never know it.

It really does feel like Addias used the AF3 as a benchmark to tune the AP4 too. It’s uncanny actually.

I definitely overpronate in soft shoes . I loved the AP3 for the stability. What’s another good option ? The Diadora gara carbon?
@kevinclark50864 сағат бұрын
The arch in the nike arch killer 3's still a big no no for marathon distance. So as good as zoom x is it's just not an option for me personally. I hear so many people complain about it but yet nike do nothing.

Good comparison. Thanks. The other difference between these two is one of them screams "Look, I have my expensive racing shoe on!" and the other looks like any other road shoe. Some will be attracted to the former, some the latter. That may come from the companies background, but it is interesting. I'm surprised that you prefer the "mechanical" feel with less "road feel", more with your consistent preference for lower stack height shoes. do you think that is related to familiarity or something else?

I’m surprised too. I really enjoy the AF3 and have really come around to Nike Air in 2024. I see where they are going with it and I find it quite exciting.

I do wonder were the Takumi Sen will go after seeing were they are going with the rest of their lineup.

Question: can Nike moderate its drops to make its shoes more palatable to more of the market, or is it captured by and afraid of alienating its existing 10 mm drop-accustomed user base? I want to try Nike's new trainers; they are doing some interesting things. But all I have to do is try one on and walk around the DSG shoes area and I know it's just too thin in the forefoot for me.
@Sophia-rl7xiСағат бұрын
I have both the takumi sen 10 and the pro3, the pronation is HORRENDOUS, i have a high arched foot and a forefoot strike so i tolerate it, but it has caused me some posterior tibial tendinitis, i can't even imagine how much pronators will suffer with adidas with the medial cutouts.

“Adidas fixed all the issues with the upper”……..WRONG! The sling system heel counter is still an Achilles shredder. The way they bring the plastic center post up all the way to the top of the heel counter and curl it back in towards the Achilles just completely blistered me up in less than 5 miles. Could feel it starting about 10 minutes into the run. I have Boston 12, Adios 8 and Takumi 8 and those are all great, but the heel counter on those are about 1cm shorter and don’t have the harder plastic center post that goes all way to the top. Back in the box and to Adidas the Pro 4 goes. Back to Puma DNE3 as my race shoe which has no Achilles heel disaster and same energy return from the ATPU midsole, if not ever so slightly firmer feel for more response.
