Stumbled on your video. My adipower 3s came in yesterday. I'm glad I didn't buy these a year ago haha-paid $154 off Amazon! It was a toss-up between the Adipowers & Powerlifts. I've never bought weightlifting shoes but I needed more heel height for squatting, and Adidas fits my feet like no other shoe. Got leg day today! Nice review.

Power perfect ii was adidas best weightlifting shoe in my opinion. I have the adipower ii and the Nike romeleo 4s. The romeleos are unreal
@thatfitfriend2 жыл бұрын
That’s an interesting take! Thanks for sharing 🤝 Why do you think the power perfect took the edge for you?
@darrenflynn15642 жыл бұрын
@Jake | That Fit Friend for me they were very resonally priced, they were a solid build, and they glued ur feet to the floor, it seems recent adidas shoes are too flexible n don't provide the same stability, I had the romaleos 2 but they were on the other side u couldn't move at all in them haha, out of what I owed the romaleos 4 and the power perfect 2 would be my top choice, not saying the adipowers are bad there a good shoe also.

Another great video as always! I'm now in the market for weightlifting shoes so I've been referencing your videos for my decision. I'm looking for a good gym shoe for primarily squats (and other lower body exercises). I'm not planning on running in them or anything. The narrow toe box like in the Adipowers is a turnoff as my daily wear is a barefoot shoe. For context Im a size mens 8-9. All that being said I was hoping you could help me chose between few options: -Nordic Lifting Powerlifting Shoes -Goruck Ballistic Trainers -Reebok Men's Legacy Lifter Ii Cross Trainer If you have any suggestions between those or even a different shoe you'd recommend id love the help!
@thatfitfriend2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Justin! A few thoughts here. If you invest in lifters, then you'll want to preserve their use for squats, weightlifting, and accessories where a heel wedge is desired (quad-based variations, using on machines where a wedge promotes better positioning, etc). You won't want to rock them for cross-training or throughout full workouts if their use isn't purpose driven. The Nordic are okay, but the outsole leave a lot to be desired. GORUCK are a cross-training shoe so very different from the heel elevation that you'd get from one of the lifters. Reebok Legacy Lifter is a decent model. IMO, I'd suggest exploring the Powerlift 4 or Reebok Lifter PR II. Both are good entry weightlifting shoes and will cost you around ~100. They should last a while, too, if you're only using them for squats and certain accessories!
@AlvaTheSpurned2 жыл бұрын
@@thatfitfriend I appreciate the feedback a lot! I’ll go look them up soon with that in mind
@AlvaTheSpurned2 жыл бұрын
@@thatfitfriend I did some research on those two and they look good. I'm between three shoes so ill list them here with a question about each: 1. Reebok Legacy Lifter 2... In your previous response you said they are decent. Is there any reason why they wouldn't be a good option other than the price? If I remember correctly you liked them in your video review. 2. Powerlift 4... Do you prefer the Powerlift 4 over the Powerlift 5? I know they have different materials but wasn't sure if one felt/performed better than the other. And is the narrow toe box on either model a big turn off? 3. Reebok Lifter PR II... this one seems like a very solid budget option other than potential quality control issues. Is there anything else to be aware of for this model? My last question would be is there anyway I could support you or your channel outside of watching/liking videos? I appreciate your help and wouldn't mind helping back
@thatfitfriend2 жыл бұрын
@@AlvaTheSpurned See below! 1. Nope, no reason! I dig the Legacy Lifter II, but I also like their heavier construction for squats/accessories. Some folks don't love the "clunkiness" that can come with this model. 2. Both are same same. I said 4 because it's virtually the same thing but with a better price point. Same fit for the most part, IMO, the 4's upper actually gave the toe box a slightly better feel than the 5. Performance-wise, both models are the same. 3. Nope! For $100, it's one of the better/safer weightlifting shoe options, IMO. Should be safe with any of these models, tbh! Nope, I just appreciate you rocking with my content. Millions of creators, but the fact you choose to interact with my stuff is more than enough!

I just ordered some. They haven't got here yet but I'm concerned about the construction. I have aggressive arches and a medium width. These will be my first "nice" pair. Price is not an issue but I think I should have gone with Romaleos or Anta's based off reviews.

Do you currently wear lifters? If so, what model and what size? My gut wants to say you'd be fine stay 14 in this model as they do run a tad long. You could also opt for a different model if width is a major concern.

I have bad knees will this help with my squats
@thatfitfriend Жыл бұрын
That's a multifactorial question. If your knees bother you when squatting and these allow you to achieve better positions, then they can be useful! Think of them as tools for achieving your goals, so if they allow you to perform at a high level without as many issues, they can def be a good option. However, I'd also not neglect working on the knees with variations that will help promote better knee tissue health.
