Yeah remember you had to send the Sen 9 back. Bit of a niche shoe as I mentioned but good in a way that there are shoes that don’t try and cater for everybody and perhaps fail to excite everybody as a result.

Insightful, thank you. I tested the Adiós 8 off-road upon a dry woodland trial yesterday afternoon at various paces and they handled the conditions (uphill, downhill with tight twists and turns very well. May probably wear them in an early season XC country race this October as the ground has been to firm for spikes in the past (I have also worn the Adiós 5 in early season XC races too).

Yeah I did just that few years ago with an older Adios of course. Wasn’t so great through some wet patches but hard to wear spikes if most of the course is very firm.

I also have the Boston 12 10, fantastic reactive, great cushioning, grip and good durability. The only problem is that it is very wide and it comes a bit long, however, changing the original insole

Yes I feel I would like it a bit more if it wasn’t as wide as it is well in relative terms. The actual wide version must be enormously wide. Or maybe I just have very narrow feet compared to others with my UK 13.5 feet.

VERY interesting comparison Tim!! Thanks so much for that!! My favourite favourite long run shoe for when I feel good and strong and will be mostly on paved roads is the Boston 12!! Love that wide toe box and it's amazing in the wet too... in fact just a couple of weeks ago I accidentally threw down my 3rd fastest HM in the Boston, without trying to and in the pouring rain and after running 59km over the previous 2 days in my trusty Cliftons, AND then again my 4th fastest just a few days later ... I LOVE them!!😁 I see your point that you have far more specific shoes, that makes sense yeah, plus your narrow feet, but as you pointed out, so many of us just go for the highly cushioned shoes for our long runs and in fact it was Andy the FOD Runner who inspired me to try something with more energy return from time to time... the Bostons for me have a lovely sweet spot between energy return and comfort when I have more energy to give!

Well done for just running so fast over a HM "accidentally" ! I do wonder though if you are effectively saying the Boston 12 is more "super" than just a Clifton? If so, that does indeed goto my point that I have lots of shoes I would reach before the Boston 12 if I wanted to try run fast over any distance. Of late, I tend to reach for one of my carbon plated racing shoes for long runs that I don't typically fast in So, for instance, yesterday it was the Rocket X2 but from adidas it could well be the Adios Pro 3 or Prime X. Also Vaporfly 2 I often use as well. As for cushioned shoes and long runs, I did try a long run in a the Invincible 1 one time and was OK but "problem" for me is that sort of shoes tend to be rather heavy so never than compelling.

@@TimGrose THANKS Tim 😁I was pretty surprised and happy, I guess I run way faster in the rain😂 Me though I'm definitely a SLOW runner, I haven't had a lifetime of running like you, so I get PBs kinda regularly!! No no the point isn't that the Boston is more "super" than the Clifton, that's pretty obvious even though it's heavier, but yes I meant to agree with your point that it could be great for those who only have a couple of shoes OR also those like me who always go for comfy cushioned shoes and are looking to step it up a bit. I also loved the much maligned Boston 10, putting well over 1000km in that one, all 20-40km runs!! The Invincible for me is PERFECT for about 16km I find, not really much longer! SUCH a massive difference between you and I though, me at 54kg, size 39-40, wide toe splay AND slow!!! VERY different feel in shoes!!!

Thanks for the great review Tim, in my current rotation I have the Adizero Sen 9, SL and Pro 3, I must say I love the SL for daily steady training and long runs, my fave is the Sen 9 as it's fast but good for marathons too, responsive and well cushioned.

Interesting you get on with the SL. As you will have seen, I just struggled there. The Sen 10 is out now but not seen it in my size UK 13.5. Doesn’t seem a huge difference but reviews seen so far seem positive. Wow marathon in a Sen 9 sounds a lot these days but I did all my races including a marathon in the Adios 1 until 2018 which undoubtedly had less cushioning.

@@TimGrose , it's an individual thing for sure, I initially felt the SL would be too firm as I generally prefer a softer shoe but they just "molded" right from the first mile and surprisingly forgiving after miles later and yes with the Sen 9 , legs felt better days after compared to some racers years ago for sure !

I love these full range videos you do in the shed. I agree with your thoughts… The Adios 8 is the highlight of the Adizero range for sure. It’s in the running for shoe of the year for me so far. The only old school vibes I get from it is the stack height. Otherwise the update in the 8 feels very modern now (the 6/7 did feel old school). I’m with you on the Adios Pro 3 just not feeling they fast for racing. It’s better than a Alphafly 1/2 for me, but the Vaporfly and the Metaspeed Sky+ are just faster for me. However, I do love the AP3 as a long run/tempo shoe. It’s ideal for that. Even with the dismal upper. I absolutely love the midsole and outsole on that shoe! I find it interesting that the Takumi Sen 8/9 is the last shoe with the classic Adidas “torpedo” fit as they seem to have moved to the wider last/fit in the A8/B12/AP3. I’m very curious what they actual do with the Takumi Sen 10. One of my most anticipated shoes.

Yeah the Adios 8 is nice to have. I did wear my one remaining Adios 1 for a video couple of years ago and funny how the passage of time sort of dulls your memory. Did feel quite ordinary. Adios Pro 3 has effectively become a super trainer for me. Kind of fear the torpedo shape will be phased out. Apparently all runners now have wide feet and need more stability which clearly went into the Boston 12 design.

@@TimGrose Nostalgia is funny like that, isn’t it. I feel like the classic Adidas torpedo is already phased out. The TS8/9 is an old shoe now, over 3 years old and close to the times of the Adios Pro 2 than anything. That should be the last one to get the new last…I expect the TS10 to have it. I don’t have particularly wide feet. Nikes fit me with nonissue, always have. But I do like some toe splay, especially on longer efforts. The VF1 had the best race fit for me. Vaporweave was tight enough and the fit was very good… but not overly tight.

@@SagasuRunning I think one problem adidas has with Lightstrike Pro and rods is that despite paper thin tongues (and hence lots of other issues) they can't seem to match the weight of the Vaporflys or even Saucony's Pro 3 or Elite. Does not seem to impact their elite runners but does seems to put off a lot of us consumers. My fear then with the TS10 is if they make it wider won't it then just go up in weight and almost make it pointless. Already despite 7mm less stack, the Sen 9 only matches the weight of the VF3 for me and so makes it actually "heavier" than the VF1 which seemingly even Nike can't really better for a lot of us even if clearer the VF2 & VF3 has probably enabled more runners to use them or maybe the VF2 (especially) was seemingly just made in so much bigger numbers.

@@TimGrose Adidas needs and all-around racer like the Vaporfly. That can only be the Takumi Sen, since the Adios Pro is their dedicated marathon shoe. The TS is a fun shoe but VERY niche. They need something with a much broader appeal. That has to be the TS10. I have a video coming out this week where I'm going to get into what I think is happening at Adidas right now. The Prime X 2 Strung debacle has many insights into where I think the brand is headed. As do some of their recent releases.

The composition of the foam is always the same from size to size among manufacturers. And here you need to remember that 33mm of foam for a person weighing 90kg may not seem insufficient for long runs, but for a person weighing 66kg. this will be more than enough.

Which shoe are you thinking of here from the ones I featured? I tend to agree but mostly the larger the shoe size then the more stack/foam you get. I only realised recently that stack heights like shoe weights are measured from the standard size (say a US 9) so me in a US 14 (UK 13.5 in adidas) would tend to get a little bit higher stack than in smaller sizes. That's not always welcome as more stack equals more weight. I guess though those runners who are just heavier than somebody else with the same shoe size will have the issue you mention. Think there are others factors like how fast/efficient a runner you are and where you tend to land within a normal stride. And then 33mm stack shoes would have been very high until recent years.

Recently got the Sen 8 for speedwork and it is shockingly good. Second run in them was a half and accidentally PR’d. Going to do some 5k races in them once the marathon is out the way.

Yeah Boston 12 is just a shoe I find underwhelming. I think that it is partly because, for my long feet (UK 13.5/US 14), it is not that light at about 350g (that's way more than the older Bostons or say the Endorphin Speed), I find it hard to flex it and does not fit my narrow feet that well. Loads of runners seem to love though it so yeah agree need to try shoes for yourself to be sure. Are you implying you do like the Boston 12?

I'm only imply that I've heard nothing but good things in terms of the ride, only thing people seem to complain about is the upper/lacing. I just purchased it on black friday and it hasn't yet arrived. One thing is for sure is that Adidas has a great return policy if things don't work out.@@TimGrose

My running is split between the Adios Pro 3, PrimeX Strung and (have just added) Takumi Sen 9. I haven’t got enough miles in the TS9 to have a proper opinion but so far I’m enjoying it. I’m not a fast runner but the relative lack of cushion compared to the other 2 hasn’t bothered me at all because it’s still cushioned. PrimeX Strung is just a fun shoe to run in, like nothing else I’ve run in. People’s initial reaction to it when they try is that it’s unstable but I found that feeling disappeared very quickly. You maybe wouldn’t want to do a long run along a heavily cambered road I suppose. As crazy as it may seem, the Pro 3 has been my most used running shoe over the past few months, it’s so versatile and you don’t need to be a 2:xx hour marathoner to enjoy it. It will be interesting to see in the coming weeks how the Pro 3 vs TS9 decision goes each day

Yeah I have used the Adios Pro 3 for some longish aerobic runs over the last year as well as some actual sessions. Takumi Sen 9 is sort of a stripped back version. I did about 14 miles in it recently as part of a session and was probably taking a bit too far but compared to the flats I used for races and faster running 5 years ago is nicely cushoned in comparison. Just got the Prime X2 Strung that hav featured in some vids and that has unfortunately been somewhat of a disappointment for me - largely due to a rather poor fit.

Great summary. I have a 3 shoe rotation with 2 being adidas (AP3 and Prime x). I shelved my Vaporfly 2’s as I keep picking up injuries in them - not sure why. I love my AP3’s, I’m also US14 and appreciate the durability.

Think it could be the lacing pressure and mid foot instability or potentially lack of forefoot width.. but the prime x is way more unstable plus narrow and I don’t have any issues with them. When my feet build up more resilience I’ll try again. I use a mild stability daily trainer (saucony tempus) as they’ve reduced to $100au recently

@@owenearl9121 had to Google those but think I have got a bit of sinus tarsi myself in recent weeks. Got a lot swelling in my left ankle and running over the weekend was somewhat laboured. I am going to have to back off for a bit else could be in the long term injured list. Not sure if it is any one shoe however as I tend to rotate the ones in current usage quite a lot.

I tend to agree with your assessments here. My foot isn’t quite so long and narrow as yours but I do experience the scale-up to a brick problem in many shoes that people with small feet like. I got an Adios Pro 3 on a special and it’s ok but too heavy to race in. It basically it took over the place of a Boston 11. I don’t think I will get the 12. The Adios 8 I like a lot but it lost some grip that the 7 had. It can catch rocks in the exposed shank and slide a bit if you cross gravel or try to go off road. I think I like then Takumi Sen better than the StreakFly which is a bit too squishy. Another oddity is that I think Lightstrike Pro really is best after about 80-100km in them. But ZoomX and PwrRun PB are best right out of the box and slowly deteriorate. Saucony Speed 2 I quite liked but started to get weird sharp knee pain when I would run in them and had to give them up. It left me afraid to try the Speed 3.

Yeah the Adios 8 outsole is quite slick but I certainly found it good enough on dry gravel paths. I think with adidas shoes of late you need a few runs to dial in the laces as much as the shoe overall. Particularly so in the Adios Pro 3 but yeah agree just a bit too heavy for us larger footed runners.

I must say that I have the sl and it has worked very well for me the last is a bit small but for my weight of 78 kg and meter 80 of height I think that the density of the midsole works very well for me

I live in a village.. Crappie roads... Love to try the Prime X Strung.. I can't run in the Alphafly V1 because the heel is so high and soft I twist my ankle on loose rocks on the road.. Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro is amazing but I do need to be careful with where I land..

I did have a look at the fastest times I had ran in each over say 400, 1K, 1 Mile & 5K and it sort of matched my perception that there is not much in it between the Sen 9 & Pro 3 but the Adios 8 was up there too and Prime X not far behind. I have rather given up with power altogether and as a means of differentiating shoes well I never really see and significant differences. Do you ?

@@i.p2088 I.p2808.I don't think this is a shoe for you🤔. With what you tell👍 I also have the other two. and I would say that the Prime X is more unstable than the Nike Alphafly. I can only speak for my own experiences. But the faster I run in them, the more stable they become. Maybe it's just me who is a little special. The first edition of the Asics NovaBlast. there were many who thought it was unstable. But I have run a lot in unstable forests. Without ever having a problem with it. and the running analyzes I've had done show that I need extra support. which I don't believe at all. Because no recent research shows that shoes with more stability prevent injuries more than other shoes. The most important thing, of course, is to listen to your own body

It is kind of an odd in a way that we are still saying a shoe is "good" 4 years down the way if it is nearly as fast as a Vaporfly when the Sen 8/9 is designed for 5K and the Vaporfly really was originally meant as a marathon shoe. Clearly a lot of elite runners run very fast indeed in the Pro 3 but, although I had only it a size down, I sort of preferred the Pro 2. Did you ever try the Pro 2?

Funnily enough the Adios 8 may well be good for goal pace on a canal towpath. Not sure that too many everyday runners are aware of it however which is surprisingly given it is relatively cheap and probably influencer discounts available. Think they are being pushed towards £200 plus shoes however due to stability concerns and/or the desire to have max stack soft foams which have however been known to be unstable. And Adios 8 not bad about repelling a bit of mud on heels.

With the reportedly large weight increase in the X2, the older ones may well be more compelling anyway. If they do my size in the X2, it is going to top 400g for me! I have TS8 and Adios Pro 3. TS8 is pretty much the same as TS9. I really like TS8 and use them for my interval speed workouts but with my imperfect gait the outsole will not last too much. I wish they put Adios 8/Boston 12 outsole in TS8/9, maybe even call it the new Boston. That would have been an immediate winner for daily training. I am using Adios Pro 3 as a long run shoe for 16-20 mi runs in a marathon training cycle. Like you said, it is a decent long run shoe, but it is lower on the list of shoes I would go for actually running a marathon race.

Yeah agree the 8 and 9 are pretty the same. I just now have the 9 in my correct size. I guess every shoe can't be good for anything. I like the fact that the Takumi Sen 8/9 is stripped back as kind of feel I shouldn't be using something like that too often. I might be paying a bit for using it for a session the other day when covered over 14 miles. Yeah the Adios Pro 3 just misses the mark for me on being a contender to use in my races but is clearly used to good effect by runners way quicker than me albeit maybe not so many with large feet :)

I had the Pro 2 albeit a size less than ideal for me as my TTS only was made available with the Pro 3. Agree I did find the Pro 2 a bit unstable but bit like the Prime X did get used to it. So does the Strung upper help with stability over the regular upper I wonder?

Absolutely love the Takumi Sen8, I use it for short/mid intervals, but I know I could easily race a half marathon in it with zero concerns. Especially as I now have 250KM in the shoe and the LS Pro has really softened up. I'm really hoping for a Takumi Sen Strung, since the only problem with the shoe is the terrible upper, I literally tore one of the eyelets the very first time I put the shoe on. While I'm not a fan of Adidas rigid uppers...I probably hate the super flexible uppers even more.....think Endo Speed V3.

I had the Sen 8 but a full size down as they did not do my TTS at the time. Could just about run it and saw enough to conclude the 8 and 9 are pretty much the same. I certainly could race a HM in the 9 but wouldn’t largely as just prefer the Vaporfly 1 and got enough life in my pairs for a while yet. Do wonder if ought to try in say a parkrun to see how it does. As mentioned no shoes yet in my size with Strung upper and certainly was not going to try another one bit too small at its inflated price. Upper in the Sen certainly a bit flimsy but I guess that is how they keep the weight to a minimum although with less stack it is no lighter than my Vaporflys.

Nice lineup, I have Adios 6, Sen 8, Pro 3, Prime X, Strung and Strung X2. I think it's safe to say, both of us like our Adidas 😁 Your prime x look like mine, beat to hell after doing close to 1400k and still going well. Next pair will have to be the Agravic speed ultra, seeing as I'm a trail runner at heart so dying to try them out. As for the Pro 3, no it's not that fast but it is comfortable. For me the mizuno wave rebellion pro destroy them.

@@TimGrose I'm fine for the most part, but on the right shoe the loop nearest the top rubs on the right side of my foot, near where the foot bones splay out to become the toes. I've alleviated it by loosening all laces in the mid section, and using all the eyelets above tight as I can manage. I've had issues with the prime x in the past, the first would pinch me in a similar way only further down but with time it stopped doing this. As for the strung the heel would rub on my Achilles, only a decent heel pad stopped this. Seems to be a part of the breaking in process with me, so I'm used to it. I'm slowly learning to like the X2, it's different but I'm learning to love how it runs. I thought it was slower but not so, it just feels like it. I've learnt to lean back a bit and stride with them whilst kicking my heels up, they really seem to propel you and make the run a lot easier.

Yeah sometimes I have to laugh when somebody says I have bought a shoe but I was waiting for “your” (ie somebody else) review of it to see if I like it. I then think surely you find that out for yourself on your runs in it not somebody else’s. Also there are so many foot shapes & sizes and use cases that it is going to be very rare for a shoe to be universally liked or disliked.

I really like Lightstrike pro foam but The Pro 2 really exaggerated my supernation and felt the shoe was gonna get me injured. It doesn't seem to offer any support on the lateral side of the forefoot. I imagine these work much better for people who over-pronate . I don't have this problem with other race shoes I own such as Vaporfly, Alphafly, Endorphin Pro 3. I would really like to try the Takumi Sen and Prime X but fear these would give me similar issues. Are there any Adidas shoes with Lightstrike Pro that have more foam on the lateral side?

I had the Adios Pro 2 but a size down as did not my TTS until the 3. Did find the 2 a bit wobbly but nothing on the Prime X. Pro 3 can still feel a bit wobbly but not so much.

@@TimGrose I guess the Prime X is a no go for me then! If the foam and outsole just came out a touch wider on the lateral side of the forefoot I would fine, it would help stop my foot from rolling outward. The Adidas Pro 2 seems very biased toward preventing the foot rolling inward, there's a large amount of foam and outsole protruding out from the upper on the medial side.. Such a shame because other than that, I really like the feeling from the Lightstrike foam.

Adidas sizes in UK seem to be .5 too small, I tend to go by the cm number rather than the size and I found the SL to be a fantastic shoe. Some days I struggle to chose between SL and TS for interval days. Shame you had upper issues and I wonder if it is a sizing issue as you say.

adidas are like New Balance & Hoka in that their UK sizes are 0.5 more numerically than say Nike, Saucony, Brooks or Puma. Same cm or US size though as you say. I would only have an option to go a full size up in the SL which make it more of a clown shoe. TBF it did get a little better in terms of that crushing my toes feeling after the first couple of runs. Trouble is the rest of it did not impress me enough to use it much more.

A full size up would be ridiculous. I wonder why there's so much variation between brands on sizes these days. Bring on standardisation. I'm lucky to only be 11 in Adidas so I don't feel your pain too much but hopefully they start recognising larger runners better.

@@jonniesharpy to be fair, I do take the same effective size in all brands. It is just, as I said, the UK number is 0.5 more in some. Think the SL is the right size for me - just the design of it isn’t ideal for me. Maybe will get it some more goes but at least not one I have spent a fortune on. TBH my main problem on sizing is that some models just aren’t made in my size. ASICS particularly bad as can’t try the Superblast or the two Metaspeed ones - largely the only ones that really interest me although the Novablast 3 turned out a bit better than my initial impressions.

Yeah the Sen 9 is nice although I think I went a bit too far in them about 2 months ago (14 miles of intervals) and been struggling with pain in my left ankle since although now a bit better. Can't say have had any particular issues with the outsole but nearly all my runs in them have been on dry roads.

@@TimGrose The left rear continental outsole of mine came off in my first run on the roads. The continental outsole coverage at the rear is so minimum which is not quite suitable for rear foot hitters. Nevertheless I had my best 5km timing in that run and felt great after that.

Boston 12 is in no man's land.. I find them heavy so I use them for easy and recovery runs because they are very stable even at slow pace. Adidas Pro 3 on easy run is to unstable for me..

Funny as initially I did find the Pro 3 a bit wobbly going slower but maybe I got used to them. As you say Boston 12 is a bit of a jack of all trades and perhaps master of none. Perhaps using it for easy runs is not really it’s intended purpose but I feel there isn’t an obvious easy run shoe in the lineup. Maybe that is the point as adidas do have other shoes although can’t say any of them particularly have appealed enough to try them. I used to use earlier versions of the Boston for my general daily training as it were.

I am a huge fan of the adizero line right now I have everything but the prime and pro 3, the SL is an awful shoe out the box, however after about 100 2 150 miles it does come alive. Which shouldn’t be the case. Lightstrike 2.0 should make the next one really good. I just got the Duramo speed which is just a lightstrike Boston for 80 quid it’s really good as a daily shoe. Adios 8 is a super fun shoe for short reps and hills.

That does seem to be the case with Lightstrike and in the end I quite liked the Boston 11. In fact in a lot of ways I like it more than the 12 as just fitted my narrow feet better. About 30g heavier though but it cruised OK. Prime X and Adios Pro 3 worth looking out for if spot a good discount. Can’t remember which shoe brand you used to wear in your pro days? Be interesting to see if you think if the shoes now would have made much difference? As a miler myself I feel much less with the spikes than the marathon racers but they help keep the legs fresher after hard training sessions.

@@TimGrose yeah I think the shoes would have been massive, there would have been no way to do double thresholds back then with the shoes we had. I think it’s huge in recovery. I was sponsored by new balance so I couldn’t imagine doing double days on rc1400 lol. The new foams just make it easier to do more work with less damage. As an older runner I feel the benefit of these newer foams. I really like the Boston 12, it like the prefect shoe for me. Like you said everyone gait is different and some shoes work for some and not others. I can’t wear the Nike invincible but love new balance more v4

Yes definitely for that price. Always been rather underwhelmed with the Boston 12. I kind of feel it is a firmer and heavier Adios Pro 3 albeit a bit cheaper at full prices. As I don't use the Adios Pro 3 as my race shoe (usually use Vaporflys) then I feel they are a better fit as a "super trainer" for me.

I do love the pro3 for me better energy return than vf1&2 but agree they are quicker , the sen 8 is very quick and as I’m a uk10 the prime x is such fun to run doesn’t feel heavy and the Boston 12 is my suprise shoes of the year imo, mind you the last 2 iterations we’re pretty poor 😂 the cost is low compared to when the endorphin speed 3 which I haven’t got as I had the v1&2 but their foam just bottomed out a lot quicker and became uncomfortable on longer runs though I am tempted at a lower cost , Tim is the midsole improved for the speed 3 ?

Funny I was thinking about when wore my Speed 3 the other day now around 225 miles whereas I retired all my Speed 1/2 around 250. Was mainly cushioning under my toes had largely gone. Think the Speed 3 are better here. Wasn’t quite sure what you mean by Adios Pro 3 giving more energy return but the Vaporflys being quicker ? Yes a lot of people are liking the Boston 12. As mentioned I just struggle to see its place when I feel I have better shoes for faster days and not the best of shoe to go slowly but I guess it is not bad at all of that which is what you want in a more general purpose shoe.

Love the detailed look. Adizero shoes are a bit hit or miss for me. Haven' t tried the Adios 8 and SL. I loved the Takumi Sen 8 as a session shoe. The Boston 12 was pretty mediocre and a bit brick-like for me. Better than the 10 but still doesn' t excell in anything really. Adios Pro 3 was disappointing, found that once clearly worse than the Pro 2. Prime X was fun and it does roll nicely. But it just feels a bit bizarre like you' re running on stilts and very wobbly on uneven surface.

Yeah perhaps we are in the minority of being underwhelmed by the Boston 12. Largely, as I mentioned in the video, because I have got 4 shoes from adidas alone I like more. I had both the Sen 8 and Pro 2 but a size down as that was only what was available at the time but both still usable if not ideal. Would have liked to have tried the Pro 2 in my TTS as tend to agree that did sort of prefer it. The Sen 9 is almost identical to the Sen 8 so doubt you would find any difference there. Yeah Prime X is an experience for sure. Last time I tried was sort of research for this video and it does roll nicely but the weight of them in my size did start to drag a bit.

@@TimGrose Yeah, the Superblast didn't do much for me. I think at 1,70 and 54kg it's just one of those shoes I'm too light for. It just felt sort of bulky. To be fair I didn't give it much of a chance. Like most shoes I don't like, it ended up on ebay/market place pretty quickly. Looks like Andy has the Endorphin Elite now, so am awaiting a review haha. That's one I do want to try, and have spotted some nice discounts now.

how does the Boston12 size compare to AP3? I saw most people recommended going half size down ? My size just for context in Ap3 i wore 7uk/25.5cm, but if following nike i am 6.5uk/25.5cm. I am looking to get Boston 12 in 6.5uk/25cm as mostly said it runs a bit too long.

I have got the same size in both the Boston 12 and Adios Pro 3 and certainly feel that it is the right size for me. I also go on the cm size to compare adidas and Nike so I am 32 cm which is UK 13.5 in adidas but UK 13 in Nike so the same 0.5 numerical difference as you. The upper in the Boston 12 is a bit wider being more of a training shoe so maybe why that is some runners size down. TBH if in doubt I always go for my "normal" or "TTS" size that I take in a brand. Always better for a shoe to be a fraction long than a fraction short.

@@TimGrose thanks for the insight, I tried on the Boston 12 in both size which is 6.5uk (25cm) and 7uk (25.5cm) and I go with my true to size. There are couple of reasons why I dont go half size down as what others suggested. 1. My left foot is longer from my right foot hence half size down is a little bit uncomfortable in my left pair. 2. I would love to use this on longer runs, so extra room is really a welcoming addition in toe box and its not too much. 3. When I tried the uk6.5 which is half size down, i get hotspots and the feeling of "take this things off my feet" after my long run is a deal breaker. And when I tried on my true to size uk7, i dont get that hotspots and I even can walk for like another 1km without feeling uncomfortable or wanted to take off the shoe. Thank you so much for the insight here and it really helps me!

Know what you mean. Next to no heel cup in Adios Pro 3. Indeed I wore them other day as got have had a bit of an injury in that area and it helped with less rubbing there.

very disappointed that the mesh upper on my 9s split in both insteps after just 210km/ 4 months of use. adidas rejected my warranty claim giving no more information other than to refer to the t&c of their returns policy. assumption is that their warehouse deemed that i was using the shoe for other than 'running' which is completely incorrect.
