I have the Rebel v4 and JUST got my SL2 in. First step in (in the house) of the SL2 made me go “whooooah, these feel goood.” Can’t wait to run in them!

I feel like the adidas will last longer. I love my rebel v4 too but the exposed foam in the rebel is getting torn up and i get the feeling that 300 miles is the limit in the rebel and reminds me of the rincon 3 where after a certain amount of mileage the foam loses its pizazz

I tried them both on today. I prefer the SL 2 even though it was a narrower fit. They do make a wide version but one color. The Rebel V4 has a nice step in feel, but I feel like that foam will bottom out later in the miles. It kinda of feels like ZoomX just a bit more airy. Also I has a funny feeling drop on the forefoot. It feels a bit to steep of a drop. It’s something I am used to. The SL 2 will handle a bit of the faster paces better than the Rebel 4. It’s sleek, nimble, and firmer.

I’ve currently only got the Saucony Endorphin Speed 3s, which I do all my running in. Sometimes they feel too firm for my slow & longer runs, do you think it’s worth picking up the SL2s to fill that gap ?

I found the pro 3 and the Boston 12 fits longer but the SL fits shorter i usaly use size 12 us but for boston and pro 3 need 11.5 and for SL 12.5 to fot the best

Hi @FordyRuns, I'm looking for a non-plated shoe to do some speed stuff (from tempo to 1K repeats) while letting my feet work. With a price difference of plus or minus 20€, I can get these two shoes and the Brooks Hyperion Max from last year. Which one do you recommend?

It's not as stable as the Boston 12 but the increased cushion makes up for the lack of stability. The ride is more similar to the Adios Pro 3 than the Boston 12 but you can tell theres no plate or carbon rods, you feel them missing in the forefoot but the Lightstrike Pro propelling you foreward is a really fun feeling. Ive done 21KM since I got them on Monday and they are just a fun daily trainer at a great price! 10/10 would buy another pair already just for the value.

The Adidas is still plenty grippy, it definitely doesnt feel like continental but for the price savings in a daily trainer I welcome the update, I can tell its plenty durable after a few runs on hot hot pavement. SL 2 has trimmed the price where it can.

@@Powellcon_ it's not durable at all, will have worn smooth by 500km, where as the Continental on my Boston 12s has lasted over 1000km. Still, I did buy a second pair of SLs and will probably get the SL2 too.

@@Enoch-Root Compared to the original SL the ride is much better. And I'd agree that the Boston 12 with continental is still the best buy in the Adi lineup. But for daily KM"s the SL2 is much softer and less slappy than the Boston. Running the same pace in both I barely notice a difference in energy return.

Have the Mach 6 as a daily and like it……. but the pro 3 I love, the takumi sen 8 I love, the Terrex Agravic I love. ( only let down been upper issues with them all, only minor but the only flaw imho with adizero shoes ) so do I need an sl2?

NEVER go with price, I want the best shoe regardless. You wouldn't say a Kia is better than a BMW because the price is cheaper, no difference with shoes. I do appreciate the explanation of value regarding price but I want the best shoe regardless because I only buy a few pair a year

What are people saying for the sizing of the SL2? I'm an 8.5 in both the Adios Pro 3 and the Takumi Sen 10, but an 8 in the Boston 12 - should I size up slightly and get the 8.5 if this is quite a narrow shoe?
