Adidas Pro Model ADV Kader left me disappointed… here’s why

It’s not that I don’t love the way the shoe looks and how dope it makes all of your outfits, I honestly think I have to roll with the half size down and hope that it loosens up a lot so I can really see if this shoe is better than the ones with the adiprene insole. I personally believe this shoe is a great skate shoe but for how good the sizing felt when I left the store vs skating, I will say you should probably go a half size down in these guys. Otherwise the shoe was cool I just didn’t get what I thought I would out of them. Let me know what you guys think of the Pro Model ADV by adidas! Love to hear you guys thoughts on them!

Not sure if I over looked it so I’m sorry if I did but what are your thoughts on the Nyjah 3’s? I know those laces will rip immediately and the design is wild looking but for some reason i still really want a pair. Great video thank you!

For me the one thing I really didn’t like was the insole. The insole kept moving around in the shoe and I had to use an aftermarket one and stick it to the midsole to skate that shoe. Outside of that the Nyjah 3 was cool but so far my favorite was the the Nyjah 2.

@@JaySkateDay the 2’s are really clean looking! I’ve never owned a pair of his shoes but always liked them. Vans always got my style more but all of Nyjah’s shoes are sweet. Did the 2’s ever lose their shape or get soggy looking like people kept telling me they did? Thanks for the response!

The twos used too much mesh throughout the toe box and side panel so if it didn’t bag out from the mesh ripping, it was gonna bag out due to the shoe stretching overtime like all shoes do. The only difference is that they bagged out faster because of the amount of mesh.

These shoes are great, they definitely are a huge change from anything else and skate way better when you wear that toe cap a bit

I think all I needed was a half size down. Mine just felt so huge on me and the last promodels I skate I didn’t even need to tie and they were on my feet like glue. Back then they were using the adiprene insole that Mark Suciu’s shoe used.

i got the shin campus advs (the black ones that wear to green, super sick) and got my usual size too, also feels half size too big. skating them for a few sessions now and i'm starting to get used to the size, so i think you could get used to it if you stuck to it but yeah it's annoying, should've gone half down too

I think the shell toe may add to the space which would be weird but also make sense since it’s always the one part of the shoe that will hold its shape until the very end.

these felt like they fit a little loose like almost a half size to big so they ve been sitting on the shelf but i just recently threw in a pair of FP insoles i had laying around and they fit more snug and perfect now

Maybe that was my issue. Those were the only pair of Promodels I ever had that fit like that so I was kinda bummed.

they fit better but they do skate a little weird though like you say ,you re keeping them for basketball might be a good thing , im gonna just wear them when i wanna style a certain outfit or to work with all black outfits . @@JaySkateDay

So this is my first pair of highs , I usually skate 10.5 in all shoes , but these fit like a size 11 to me or at least look like an 11 on me , maybe I should ve ordered a half size down to a 10 , they fit comfortable but they look kinda like clown shoes on me as in I feel self conscious and they make my feet look bigger which I dont like , I think the 10 wouldve looked more proportional on me . I went ahead and ordered the 10.5 because usually companies are consistent I fit the tyshawns in 10.5 and they fit snug no wiggle room , and these I have room in the toe just like you said yourself .

I’m definitely leaning towards getting a second pair in a 9. I was scared they’d fit like the Nora’s and the Tyshawn’s but it turns out that they are a bigger fit 😅

I use dr sholl insoles in regular superstars and only shoe besides jordan 1's i've felt great and comfortable skating in. Vans last me a day smh

That’s a tough ones but I’d have to go with the Joslin 1s for now still. They just did everything I needed while holding a pretty clean look throughout the life of the shoe and honestly that made them rock!

I wore down the vamp of one shoe and the stripes on the other, then painted the stripes on the dominant shoe black. Gave em like a reversed colorway feel 💜🖤 Also i have the kader superstars and these have a slimmer, more narrow outsole in the same size. I had to overstuff and sew the tongue to make them truly skateable, but i do that to most adidas i buy

It’s insane that we have similar yet opposite issues. The Kader samba was too slim for me but was a perfect fit otherwise while the Kader superstar was a little too big but perfect on the width. Funny thing is they both were in my exact shoe size for adidas 😅 luck of the draw I guess but both are some sick skate shoes

It's not really a thin layer of leather backed by suede. It's that leather and suede are essentially the same material with a different finish. Have you noticed every leather shoe starts to look like suede as you wear it out?

Ahhhh that's right. I continuously forget that leather and suede are the same material. Funning thing is I learned that when I was in school too. Im curious about what adidas did to the leather to make it come out like this without really sacrificing durability.

Same color for sure. These just start off darker because of the leather finish vs the straight suede on the lows. Adidas keeps it nice and simple.

True and I should be use to that but I was very sketched out when the Tyshawn’s and the Nora’s were true size fit and that when I tried on the 9s in these they were squeezing my feet so bad. I think these were one of those break them in situations for sure.

@kirillkolesnikov566 I ended up ordering both , im more of a white shoe person they match with most fits easier so I wear the sams version more and they do feel so comfortable the material feels softer then the kaders , im sure the kaders just take a bit longer to break in

@@kirillkolesnikov566 I did stick with the 10.5 for these and they fit fine , I mightve not been used to the style of these initially , I usually wear chunky shoes like the accel ogs so going to a more narrow shoe feels different at first making it appear like a clown shoe to me , the kaders I probably would ve got a half size down though I do feel like there is too much room in the toes for me still , the white ones fit less loose then the kaders at 10.5 , the white ones also look great with shorts / jorts .

I can’t find a good fit for the life of me. Also I’ve noticed that the skate ones have a separation from the shell toe and the side panel on a lot of pairs. I’ve been seeing people talk about that a lot.
