Adidas has no specific direction. When the x was I introduced it was marketed as a chaos boot and even felt like that. Now they have changed it to a speed boot. from purechaos to purespeed this is purenonsence They did the same with the preds. They changed it from a power boot to a control boot

Just because they call the boot something it doesn't make a difference. A speed boot and a power boot are still both football boots it's all for marketing it makes minimal difference in playing experience

Supposedly the Ace dust storm line has a low cut leather model but it's not for sale anywhere. When you get your hands on the ace 17.1 dust storm you should get some info on the leather variation.

Seems to be very little change with adidas and Nike at the moment. All I'm seeing is colour changes with fancy words added. I miss the days of waiting for the beginning of the season/euros/World Cup for new boots to come out. Bring back some old football boots, now that would be good to see!

Maybe take a look at the Magista Opus 2. You're not really going to get the exact feel of leather from a synthetic shoe.
