What didn't help was the audio. It was terrible and trump's voice kept dropping out. A once in a lifetime opportunity and they screwed up the audio. It's hard to get 10 million views on an hour long video (for example). The algorithm works partly on watch time and percentage of video watched. Not many people have the attention span to watch an hour long interview with bad audio. That hurts the video with the algorithm. It still has more views than nearly every other long uncut interview of trump.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Trump was a builder first and foremost and my older brother worked as an electrician on some of his projects, and he told me Trump was the best boss ever. The workers on his job cites were always thrilled when he would show up. He had a genuine affection for them and would buy the whole cites, hundreds of blue collar workers, pizza pies and soft drinks. They loved when he showed up.
