I think he talks to much when explaining his answers, but at least he does answer the questions. What he said about assembled, not made here, is accurate. I was working for a company in the early 80's that made everything locally, then they brought in someone for training. His job was to go to another country and train them to take our jobs. Shortly after I left the company, the jobs were being done over seas, except the assembly department. That's because there's a tax loophole if you do that here. The building was empty, except the main office and the assembly area. So much for a company that has been employing local people since before my father worked there as a young man.

Best interview with Trump I've seen this election cycle! Love how he was challenged, except for the stupid J6 question and the lie that "crime is lower," and Trump did well under pressure! Micklethwait was visibly frustrated not being able to wrangle the interview as he'd hoped, but did as well as one is going to do trying to manage or herd Trump. By the way, that's what makes Trump a great leader!

Independent voter here- this was an amazing interview. I love that they were on opposing viewpoints, but still respect each other. Nothing was out of line or made me roll my eyes (too much) and scoff. This is what an actual interview should be. Maybe Trump didn’t answer every question or wasn’t direct in his answer, but he was able to give substantial reason for past actions and actually explain why he has his viewpoints, how this or that policy would or wouldn’t benefit America. He actually knows what he’s doing. I really gave Harris an honest chance to earn my vote, but she just doesn’t have the chops for the job. She got ridiculously defensive at the only two REAL interviews she’s done (60 min & Fox); in the other “interviews” people haven’t pressed her on questions I want the answers to, she so obviously avoids answering important questions, she doesn’t explain economic matters in detail (“I have a plan”). I don’t care her gender or race, her merit is seriously lacking for the weight of the job she’s trying to get. Trump is a loud mouth ass, but he’s definitely the man for the job of President.

The simple point that this interviewer seems to avoid is that a 200% tariff doesn't make prices too high for people to afford... it forces them to find other products that they can afford.
