I feel like they forgot to mention 2 very important things. First: deen told mams that it would take another 3-4 months before he could start to fight/train again due to his hand injury but then suddenly that injury isn't a problem when it comes to fighting for adin. Second: adin live on stream told his audience to start referring to the fight as a spar and to go along with it to keep up appearances since otherwise he would face legal consequences so he was fully aware that deen was under contract and that what he was doing was illegal. The whole 'spar' thing was a lie to get out of legal trouble, there was also a belt on line which 'spars' don't tend to have.

There’s 2 key things your forgetting. 1) deen told maams that it would take 3 months to heal around 3/4 months ago.2) just because Adin telling his chat to refer to it as a spar instead of a fight doesn’t mean he knew Adin was under contract. Did he know he couldn’t host a fight? Yes prolly because it needs to be regulated so let’s make it a spar boom problem solved. 1) Your timeline on the injury is just wrong. They literally set up the tournament because of it and planned to have it end right when deen was ready to fight so that there would be a lot of hype for his first title defense. 2) adin sent deen a contract for a fight (confirmed by adam), later after he got sent a cease and desist, he told his audience he still putting on the fight but they just need to refer to it as a spar from now on for legal reasons but that is still a breach of contract (especially if there is a belt on the line), so even if adin claims he at first didn't know by then he 100% did and still went ahead with it. The reason Misfits is still about and haven’t folded like Kingpyn, Social Gloves etc. is because they have contracts that protect their product but pay their fighters seemingly fairly.
