Thanks for a great video of your trip. I did a similar trip solo in 1972, but in the reverse direction, including Panther Gorge & Haystack. Can't hike anymore (83) but love to bask in nostalgia, especially in these trying times. Loved it!

Awesome! I'm glad I could show you my experience in an area you explored in the past. It's an amazing area!

What a fantastic video. Ah, the mighty Adirondacks. Thanks for bringing back memories. Aren’t they rugged and beautiful all in one. Very much enjoyed your video. Would love to see you come over here again, maybe sometime?! Came over and subbed from the Shill Brothers. Note: Man, you sure have a few videos on your channel 😉

Thanks for coming over and checking out my stuff! I do have a couple videos on there to look at! Hopefully you'll find the quality keeps improving as you get to the newer stuff!

Mark - a video for the ages. From an Adirondack lifer, that was an incredible trek! It was most interesting hearing your perspective on the level of difficulty compared to your other hikes. It's the knee pounding descents that eventually catches up with many of us. And that's having a day pack on, never mind loaded backpacks like you guys carried.

There are lots of new slides due to Hurricane Irene. Hopefully you were able to view the massive slide between Gothics and Saddleback. I had to chuckle when you were headed to Marcy and commented how nice the trail was because I knew as soon as you passed the wooden planks you were in for a treat. I love the High Peaks. Every time I bring people and warn them that its not going to be just walking, but will include crawling, scrambles, and begging for mercy, they never believe me lol.

I loved the video and I am planning a similar backpacking trip this summer. This was a great preview to see what the terrain will be like. The hike looked challenging, but rewarding. I really enjoyed seeing the bother hood, among your trail family. Happy hiking in 2019

Joseph Hirsch Thanks! This was the first trip I filmed for this channel and it was fun. Great area, great trip! Very tough terrain, but you’re right, very rewarding!

Spiguyver Backpacking I though the cinematography was well thought out. It would have helped to have a mic. I have done one high peak and will be going back for more . I like tgd challenging terrain because the hardest climbs lead to best views. Are any of you guys 46ers?
@SpiguyverBackpacking15 жыл бұрын
Hey Joseph! The mic came in well after this video, but you're right, it would have made a huge difference on this one! I believe Sherpaman is a 46er, but not the others in the group.

Outstanding video. Looked like a lot of work with fun thrown in on the side.

I'm surprised you didn't pick up Haystack while you were there. Hats off to you guys some of that is difficult enough without a pack, especially between Saddleback and Basin. #4295

Nice documentation of a great hike in the best wilderness in the east! I was trying to follow your route on a map and after the peaks could not tell your route which would have been nice. Did you start/end at the same trail head?

Spiguyver Backpacking thanks! one more question: what was your pack's baseweight?
@latitude9188 жыл бұрын
Whoa! What a video. I clearly need to get myself to the ADKs soon. They're beautiful. Did you film that on a GoPro? How did you get such good audio?
@latitude9188 жыл бұрын
Oh cool. I didn't know the slotted back picked up audio that well. I look forward to more videos from you. Thanks!

There should be a category for music flight videos and no music flight videos.

lol the high peaks... phew glad you could breath up there smh.

Take it easy there tough guy. It’s basically same elevation gain as out west even if you don’t end as high. I’ve done my fair share of hiking in Colorado and can say the ADKs are NO joke.
