Join us on an unforgettable multi-day canoe camping and fishing adventure in the beautiful Adirondacks! Despite the challenges of unpredictable weather including wind, snow, sleet, and hail, our trip was filled with incredible moments. Apologies for the delayed release - we've got a big update for my KZbin channel at the beginning of this video. Watch as Paul, John, and I brave the elements, land some Brook Trout, and indulge in mouthwatering campfire meals at a remote Trout lake. Get ready for stunning landscapes, camaraderie, and the joy of wilderness exploration. Come along and experience the Adirondacks like never before!

I like the foam idea on the rod, keeps it from sinking if you lose it in the water.

@@DaxWoodsWanderer Barb and I bought a property as well... bordering thew Saint Regis Canoe Area. It's a small wooded lot with a pole barn we are rehabbing. We've been slaving away clearing the land and haven't been in our canoes. Soon enough.

Congrats on being in the heart of the ADK. What is your guiding profession? Do you take people out on canoe trips for extended times? Is that job the reason you moved closer?

Yes and yes. Stephanie and I do everything from hiking to camping to canoeing and fishing. Being up here just makes it so much easier.

North Creek? You're just down the road from us (Johnsburg). Let's get together for a beer or two, Jay, and talk paddling & fishing!

Jay, I got an FYI thing for you… That SOTO pot you use nests very well inside the 1.8L GSI Halulite Boiler….just incase you might have the need to pack an extra, slightly bigger pot.

Halfway through your vid. Great. As I have said before, your are my favorite ADKs youtuber. Planning couple trips this fall to the ADKs. Maybe a last minute one next week too. How are the mosquitos in the ADKS right now?
@DaxWoodsWanderer
@DaxWoodsWanderer Жыл бұрын
I really appreciate it Greg! There is definitely some mosquito action in the wetter areas, so I would prepare for it if you are the type of person they go after!

Jay, could you let me know which fish finder you're using and also what is the transducer canoe mount you're using. (maybe you already showed this in a previous vlog?) Great videos, keep up the good work! Thanks! Dennis G

Thanks for watching Dennis. I use the Garmin Strike 4, the mount I use for it is a Scotty transducer mount that I grabbed off Amazon, it works great with the Scotty gunnel clamps I use for the rod holders.

Congratulations on the move to North Creek. That’s a really nice place you’ve got there. Have you been down to the Crossroads Store (exit 25) for ice cream and fishing tackle yet? Actually we used to drive all the way down to Martha’s for ice cream. 😎 My first wife came from a VERY Polish family so your polish cuisine brings back great food memories. I spy with my little eye (at 5:05 😆)… That Patak’s Simmer Sauce is wicked delicious 👍🏻 I’m not big on hot/spicy but, they do have a few at the milder end of the spectrum that I really like. They’re really versatile because they are as different as the protein you pick to add. I usually serve it over BEN'S ORIGINAL Coconut Jasmine flavored Ready Rice
