That opening sunset was incredible. I often throw the canoe in Little Clear in the evening to watch the sunset in that same direction. The ADK Addicts sure do cook up some backcountry feasts.

Jay, I’m excited to see you put out a new video. You should try and make it over to the Vermont State Fair August 13-17, 2024 in Rutland. Go to the sugar house and pick up some extra dark syrup for adding to your coffee. Trust me, I know about these things 😂 The last time I was there I got stepped on by a Clydesdale 😣

Been watching many of your's and ADK Addicks videos. Brings back many memories, did many trips into St Regis in the 70's and 8o's but tappered off as began concentrating on fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon on the Gaspe Pennisula of Quebec. Still made a few trips into St Regis in the 90's. Also was probably the first fisher into Santanoni the first day it opened to the public in I think 1973. Many day trips to 13th Lake. Glad to see you folks still catching nice fish in the Adirondacks. One thing I am jealous of, besides just being back in there camping, the evening fires, etc is the equipment available now. Good luck on your future adventures, tight lines and keep revitalizing great memories with your videos. Envious.
@DaxWoodsWanderer12 сағат бұрын
I think the Adirondacks definitely went through a low period with the fishing during all that acid rain, but things are definitely bounced back. I love hitting 13th Lake and Newcomb, especially with how close they are to home in North Creek here! I am really happy to hear that the videos let you relive a little bit of that! Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@DaxWoodsWanderer Once had a day trip to 13th with another salmon fishing buddy. Unbelievable Caddis fly hatch at far end, released over 50 and friend wasn't far behind. Jay, try a mooselook wabbler behind your Christmas tree and you’ll save a fortune on worms 😂 I have that BRS stove and it’s just as good as many of the pricier big name stoves I own. Have you tried anything from Oscar’s (the Deli & Meat Store of the North too) down in W’burg? Those were two of my favorite places. I think the meat store of the north has changed owners since I moved. The last fire I fought before I moved to NC was the devastating fire at Oscar’s. I’m glad they rebuilt it. Those rainbows were perfect EATING size 😉 😂
