A Tamil Padam - a composition from Brindamma’s repertoire - this has been performed by Brindamma as well as Ramnad Krishnan but hasn’t been performed post the late 80s.
Subbarama Iyer, the composer was an eminent nattuvanar and has composed several popular Tamil Padams namely "Netrandhi Nerathile" in Useni, "Padari Varugudhu" in Kambhoji. The Sahana in this composition is a very typical depiction of the Brindamma aesthetic - a flurry of movements of differentially speeds followed by pause and poise. Just a couple of lines long, this Javali brings out the finesse that is the essence of the bani.
