Adjustable BIC lighter (no tampering or “modding” needed)

Everyone on the internet is after “mods” or “hacks” to alter their lighter for huge flame.... Haven’t really found any tricks on KZbin for the contrary.... Why would anyone need a weaker flame you ask? Well, that’s between me and my pet monkey (his name’s swim). If you’re tired of burnt bowls and nasty remnants, tired of cheap disposable lighters blowing up in your face, or sick of constantly tampering with such trivial and rudimentary issues like a tweeker, Look no further ladies n gents... I bring you, “The Amazing Adjustable BIC Lighter.” It requires no modding or tampering of any sorts. Just some will power and a few minutes of practice, and you’re off to the races. Happy smoking.

I wanted a smaller flame too. It sux they don't make adjustable bics any more. Do you remember them? They didn't have a plastic lever for adjustment like the cheap ones have now. It had a metal wheel with little ridges all the way around for grip. Like a tiny sprocket. Anyway, The way I lowered the flame on mine was by taking another lighter and melting the plastic on the main body of the lighter just below the button. Quickly before it dried, I used the metal flame guard on the other lighter to push the melted plastic up under the red button so when I strike the lighter, the red button doesn't go down as far. It works good, but the flame is jumpy. They make the flame too big. The most expensive lighter don't last as long as the cheap ones do.........but they will from now on. Put that in your pipe and smoke it BIC. They ain't fooling nobody with their greedy little plan to make us buy more lighters.

I hate the giant flame too. I go to light Up and lose half my damn eyebrows! 🤣. I remember when bic had the adjustment knob dial and most times my bic flame is fine. But every so often its HUGE!!

You should buy yourself a vintage adjustable flame bic in good condition and just add your own fill valve on the bottom replace Flint and you got yourself a refillable bic. I have been doing this for years and haven't bought a new bic in forever. I just pick up spent bics my homies don't need and recycle the Flints in those into mine from time to time. Buy butane or fill with propane and it'll last forever. You are likely to have the refillable bic get lighter trolled before it breaks. Believe me people will try and jack the refillable bic if you don't keep tabs on it.
