Had one of these for 2 years. It’s a good little power supply. It could do with fine adjust knobs because it’s fiddle to set to a precise voltage or current. It’s also a little bit noisy if you are powering a little hifi amp but overall it’s quite good for the price.

Dear Stefano thanks for this interesting review! To me it is impressive how the Voltage is stable even if you hold the drill bench with your hand. But there is one question: Can you bring the digits to an exactly value like e.g. 12.00 V or 0.600 A ? To me it did look like the digits are not that smooth. The best to me is the fan not running the whole time! Over all I will probably buy this thing. All the best to you! Boris. 🇨🇭

Hello Boris, thank you! - Yes, it is possible to have precise values such as 12.00V is set via the trimmer (Voltage) as regards the current this must be set once the load is connected to the power supply, after which it can only be lowered to the desired level. - The cooling fan is automatic, it running only when the power supply becomes hot under load. Thanks so much for the comment! Stefano

Thanks for the review! Have you tried to test the voltage drop under mid-heavy current load? I have a similar model and I tried 500mA@5V, the real output voltage drops to 4,3V. Of course voltage decreases even more as load current increases

Hi, thank you! yes I tried up to just over 5,6A, the voltage remains very stable, you can see it in the video precisely at 5:20

@@Stefano91ste Yeah the display on the power supply doesn't not display any relevant change in voltage (even my power supply seems very stable), but if you try with an external multimeter you may see a different result. I mean that what you see on that display may not be the real output voltage...

Hi, I had the same problem, I was with a gps and some sensors sometimes needed around 3A but the voltage dropped and the circuit did not work well, I solved it by changing to a charguer of smartphone. i have the same dc power supply

@@za-se4jv I'm using 24AWG, that is surely enough for 0.5A. However, I think the problem is the banana plug connector included with the power supply. I used a "higher" quality banana plug connector and the problem vanished.

Now says Topshak instead of Minleaf, is the same?
@Stefano91ste

Hi, It is the same, even other times I have seen the same Chinese product but with more brands. This makes me think that in China there are several anonymous manufacturers who then sell their products to different brands

@@Stefano91ste I confirm... Longwei、Topshak、Minleaf、Rddspon are all the same。No need to have 20 companies (or installations) to make the same thing。 China (as we do in Japan) make nonamed (unmarked、unbrand) items for customers in one (or two) manufactures。We just need blueprints、datasheets and some personalisations to cook what the other countries want to sell。Even 《Electronics Projects》 could have a brand on that DCC power supply。 Bonus for you here (with my heart ❤️) i91.servimg.com/u/f91/11/12/38/35/electr11.png So if (for some obscure reasons) one of these brands suck、remember that they are all the same、no one is better than the other...
