thanks andy, the next zig video i'll go into more detail but i'm struggling badly when it comes to the content, i can't film on my main waters anymore and at this time of year the weather causes me all kinds of trouble, i've wanted to get the camera out for the last 3 weeks but wind and rain has sunk my efforts each time and i haven't even wet a line let alone had the chance to film anything. I'll get there in the end but it's going to take time👍

Hi Mark, I’m also using them mostly in March and April, seems to be a good period for zigs. 🐟🎣💪🏻👍🏻

yeah march and april when the carp are becoming active in the spring is a particularly good time dave, i find it works well all year round but it's venue dependant, one of my lakes it's great in summer, another it produces in the depths of winter, it's just a case of working things out👍

Hi mark when will you be bringing out your in depth video about zig fishing I look forward to seeing it
@MarkCarp2 жыл бұрын
not sure mate, it's one of about 5 video projects i've got on the go at the moment, there are a few videos ahead of this one so it could be a while. the club i'm in banned filming on their waters so i'm struggling to find venues at the moment, that's why my content is slow in coming lately, i've got a deep water lined up for it but it's very busy and this isn't the time of year to try and get a peg at the moment, i'll take a look in the summer once we've got silly season (april/may) out of the way👍

Hi Mark what is a beach catcher rig set up
@MarkCarp2 жыл бұрын
hi darrell, a beach caster rig is for surface fishing, it's a brilliant rig but it's banned on a lot of places these days. you have a heavy lead of at least 3oz on the end of your line with a very big float that will slide up to the surface. above the float you have a short hooklink of 4 or 5 inches and this slides on the line like the float, a stop knot sets the depth for the float and the distance the rig is from it. you have the rod pointing up in the air with the line completely off the water and the bait just dangling down touching the surface. if it's not been used before it's devastating but over use of it will kill surface fishing completely, i've put it on my list of things to cover in future👍

Zig rig would be better for surface fish
@MarkCarp2 жыл бұрын
@@darrellvieira8903 i must admit i like the zig for surface fishing, it's caught me quite a few fish over the years but don't neglect the beach caster rig darrell, in the right circumstances it's devastating and they both have their place in my armoury👍
