What dial are you turning , red or blue one? Because I did what the directions said to do. But my tank said it is 80-81 F temperature. So I unplugged it and recalibrated. And set the temperature to 75 degrees, but the heater light keeps on turning on! When the temperature is 75. The back of the red dial is confusing, there is a little cut out slot and a little blue tap sticking up.

It's best to have a separate container to adjust these heaters if you take your blue dial and move it all the way to the right and take a red dial and set it in the middle because the heater will not go no higher than 93°, 94 and then shut off then you can start adjusting your blue dial back to lower degrees to where your arrow is pointed at in the middle same thing as far as moving it all the way to the left to lower the temperature down to 64°, now what I have done is fill up a container not all the way for just enough to cover the heater put my red arrow in the middle and move it all the way toward the lower temperature and put ice in it the container let it cool down and the temperature will turn on and heat up to 64°, 65 then I know I can adjust my arrow to that setting and then start to adjust it with the blue dial but whatever you do make sure you get a thermometer to make sure your temperature is right I know it's a great heater but they can be sometimes complicated

I have a 110 gallon tank. The problem with a separate container, is the heater is pretty long. My game room is about 78 degrees. I did not have a problem with the heater, until I shut off my Air conditioner for my house 🤪. I have try to find big container. Thank you for your help. I try to contact the Eheim support, with no response.

@@aquariumhacksbymarcus5653 hello I am doing what you said. Calibrating the heater in a different container. But my question is which dial do you turn to 65 or 93? The red or blue?
@aquariumhacksbymarcus56532 жыл бұрын
@@martinmercerjr8615 turn the blue and red dial all the way to 65 then you know that the heater is for sure set at 65 because it can't go no lower put ice in the container to lower your temperature lower than 65 your heater will heat up to where it's supposed to be at 65 now you know where you're at now slowly turn your temperature up about 5°? Then once it's hit 70 check with your thermometer then turn your red dial to 70 again adjust your temperature 5° once it hits 75 turn your red dial to about 75 so now you are starting to calibrate your heater
