Very good and simple video! I have usually paid my truck shop to do this. My 01 4900 clutch is tight just like this and I'm going to try adjusting it myself, now that I've seen your video! BTW, my truck is all oily underneath just like yours! 😊 God bless you.

Hi thanks for video, but could you explain why to turn the flywheel by screw driver,for alignment?

I uses the screw driver to align the Flywheel to get the Clutch adjuster just right to fit my tools inside the hole to adjust Clutch.

Can this adjustment been done on an Eaton 6+1 transmission? I’m starting to get quite a bit of chatter in fourth, fifth and sixth gear. Special and going up a hill, hauling in real material or pulling a loaded trailer. 99 international 4900

@stewpittt Look underneath and see if you have the same setup. Also make sure your Gear Oil and level is correct.

My truck is exactly the same. Problem I have is that if I do this procedure it gives me free play but I can't get it to go into gear?

@@mikewebbe24 sometimes if it has never been adjusted or it is bottom out. It may be difficult to move.

My buddy has an International 4900 and once it warms up it grinds a bit going into 1st even with the clutch pedal to the floor. Would he was to turn the adjustment clockwise or counterclockwise to fix this issue?

Have your Buddy to check the Gear Oil Level. If he decide to change the Gear Oil. I would use 85w-140 Gear Oil. As for the adjustment. Turn the adjuster clockwise and make sure the friction point is not too low to the floor.
