I did actually dampen the front and rear shocks a bit during the tuning process, but that was in some mud holes haha.

cool thanks I am loading my poor bike up for a long trip .. the back was easy peasy just set spring to max..If I under stood you right I adjusted the lower one in front to max so with additional weight will take more force to compress fork ? sure wish the book just used clockwise counter clockwise instead of a b or lefty loosy righty tightly lol so full a is the smallest opening for oil so will take more force to compress " )

This is great info my dude. So wait, they ship the tenere at the softest rebound setting if I'm understanding correctly? Interesting. What did you end up deciding to leave it at? Great video.

The rebound setting was out all the way when I got it (not sure if that was Yamaha or the dealership) but the softest and the standard setting are the same on that one. The rest were all at or around the standard recommend setting. I actually ended up with the front at 16 or 17 on rebound and compression is at like 8. The rear I ended up going back down to the standard 15 for compression and actually turned the rebound put to 23 and that all seems good enough to try for a while. That's next weekends video.

My (2021) manual says 31 clicks softest rebound. I tried that and could not go further than 28 clicks. Compression it says softest is 22 clicks but I did not try that after the rebound clicker stopped earlier than the manual said.

Huh, so they must have switched the numbers at some point during 2021? I've noticed some really odd stuff in my manual that doesn't really make any sense, like headlight adjustment. Not sure what happened there lol.

My brother just bought a used Tenere 700 and the compression damping clickers at the bottom of the forks don't click, on both sides. Anyone else had this happen?

Mine felt pretty indistinguishable too actually. I don't know that I ever really felt them, more so just had to listen really, really close.

How do your auxiliary led lights go from amber to white light?

They're actually always amber, it's a ring on the outside of the light. There's a switch that activates the normal part that actually does the eliminating.
