Hi Dave. Good seeing you again. Thanks for sharing your storie. When you said your mom had a reading of 26 i thought she had a high suger i think what you ment was 2 point 6 . A low suger like that is difficult to xperienc for a person of a sound mind. I can.t imadgin what it .s like for a person with demensa. Your a life saver. Great diy on the valve adjustment. Live by the mantra . The easiest money to make is the money you don,t have to spend. Love this channel.

thanks fred, her meter reads 26 and 86 is a normal persons sugar above 100 is not normal and anything below 60 is getting dangerously low. most people pass out when its below 40 or 50. sad part is before bed the night before her sugar was over 300 which is way to high. I think the new meters measure in point increments.

Dave what's up! You do what you do Dave, coz you're a proper dude. Respect! Dealing with somebody with dementia is challenging enough without a bottoming out bg to go with it, wow! I know a little bit about all that, I was a paramedic years ago. As for adjusting valves, man that looks involving! Dave, you the man, keep on keeping on.

It is one of he most fulfilling acts of service you will ever do, but as you said, very often it i not easy. Your mom comes first, we will WAIT for your videos. God bless.

God bless you and your mother. I admire your efforts. My mother passed and my wife and I had to care for my father for a number of years . He was a very independent man and lived to 89 years. His health declined drastically his last 2 and at times he was difficult. He needed our help but resented it at the same time often saying things that no son should have to bare. I respected my parents and did my best to never talk back. Thankfully he never got ugly with my wife or sons who also helped. A friend once told me " don't worry, it will get worse ". Unbelievable but that helped me deal with my feelings. He had been thru much the same with his mother. All I can say is do your best and you won't regret it. Hope you and your mom the best.
@daveknowshow4 жыл бұрын
so true it likely will get worse. I know what you mean about hearing and seeing things no son should ever hear or see. I try to just keep focused on the main objective keeping her safe, healthy as she can be and out of the nursing homes or hospitals. thank you for your support.

Thanks for the interesting video. It seems the manufacturers don’t think of maintenance when they design the tractors! It’s a great thing you are doing for your mom. Speaking from experience, make sure you don’t get burned out. It feels like you can’t at times, but if you don’t take some “me”time, you won’t be able to be there when she needs you.

You’re not a dummy in any way Dave!! I know about the low blood sugar,the lowest mine had ever been was 24 and it’s a bad feeling..you’re doing a good thing for your mom Dave..take it easy bother!
@daveknowshow4 жыл бұрын
24 is very low surprised you stayed conscious. my mom's went so low the machine simply displays "L" for low meaning the machine would not go any lower. she was unconscious and I had to give her an emergency injection of glucosamine. took about 20 minutes but it brought her back around. the other day when her sugar was low she ask me " why you keep saving me?" she wanted to just die. that made me very sad.

Great video Dave, sorry it didn't solve your problem. Could the noise be coming from the camshaft? I believe the camshaft drives the oil pump, I've heard this can rattle at times. God Bless you for taking care of your mom. You will be rewarded oneday. The Bible tells us to honor our parents and sounds like your doing everything right. Prayers for you and your family.

I had not given the cam shaft a thought. glad you mentioned it but hope its not to serious. I think I have found the issue. wont know till I tear into it and put it back together. I look forward tou your thoughts on the next video showing what I think the issue is.

I wouldn't think the cam could be worn with only 800 hours. You are like me when it comes to maintenance, as i always stay with the recommended hours in the book. These engines should be good for 6 - 8000 hours.
