Adjusting VLAND Head Lights With the Bumper On! (Lexus IS)

There's an easier way to adjust them - Just simply put a long Phillips head screwdriver down from the top and slot it in between the teeth of the adjuster. When you turn the screwdriver it will spin the cog, moving the beam up and down. Same result but you don't have to move anything out of the way and is quick to make small adjustments on the fly. Nice video though!

Hey Marty, You don't need to remove the air filter box at all. Those adjustments are designed so you can fit a philips screwdriver straight down, and the screwdriver spins the teeth of the adjustment. It's even easier than that.

Keep in mind that this only applies for vertical adjustment (the most important thankfully). the horizontal adjustment screws are so far tucked away its damn near impossible to access without taking the fenders off or whole headlight unit out

Hi, thanks for the video. How much of a difference can I see with the H/L screw adjustment? I’m trying to widen the beam pattern and wondering if this will help. I’m guessing there’s no way to get to it without removing the fender? I also noticed a dead spot in front of the bumper, not sure if this is based on the design or if there’s a way to fill it in without turning on the fog lights.

What is the fuse for the high beams I just installed vlands on my Lexus, everything works but the high beams..

Yikes! In the main fuse box in the engine bay, it’s off to the bottom left, kind of facing away from the other fuses. There is a little box you pull out. It’s labeled HLP upper or something and is 15A I believe. The back of the lid of the fuse box has a diagram

You need Toyota tech stream program to disable the factory DRL. Some dealers do it for you for free if you call and ask them.

I install vland on my is250, my high beams are flicking. I tried using techsream but the light control option won't open how can I fix this.

You need to turn off the DRL in techstream. Might need to find a different version of techstream if you don't see DRL on/off option.

T P looking down from above the headlamp after you take off the plastic covers you’ll locate the beam adjuster. It’s the small white cylinder thing with “steel teeth”. Stick a long enough Phillips screwdriver directly down and start turning to adjust beam.
