The batteries may change over time but electric cars will stay until something better comes along. As for self driving, I don't believe anyone has it at the moment. Great assistant systems for sure but we are not at I-robot levels yet.

One thing to add about charging, for people who are worried about range, the rear wheel drive SE model has almost as much range as a gas car.

I got one yesterday! 01 limited 179000 miles for $4300. He just did both belts, water pump,radiator, o2 sensor.new plugs, Frame is excellent. Its clean inside and out. Just need some tires which i found off a tundra, im pretty stoked!

My experience: This car is very hard to keep clean. The back in particular (overdesigned).

I recently bought a 2010 Is250. Two of these issues already popped up. Had to clean my throttle body from carbon buildup. My rpms would jump up and down when I turn on the AC. And my gears would shudder when shifting and I did a trans fluid flush. Both issues fixed. Your video is spot on.

anyone who’s done spark plugs on these knows the process lmao, while your there do your throttle body cleaning , intake gasket, pvc valve and if you got money do the coils too lmao

Good walkthrough. Would havd liked to havd seen some mebtion of the front off-road canera use if you have it. I just bought a 2023 6-speed TRD off-road in Barcelona Red with only 1k miles on her. Such a nice truck. I have a lot of modernness to get used tk ckmpared to my 2003 TRD off-road 5-speed manual that im also keeping.

The steady camera on the tripod is much better than going free hand. Felt a little dizzy when the camera is moving around to much, cant focus what your showing. Maybe get a mount for your interior shots. Then you can keep 2 hands on the wheel. Great job on the car, great channel.

I have a 2015 Corolla with 195k miles on it, and still running smooth like a new one 😊 but now my family grow and I like the idea of getting one like yours. I drove it one time and it was like an airplane super soft super smooth. Great video I would like to see more of the fixing in the misfires.

My daily is a 2007 sr5 with 240,000 miles. It is only a rear wheel drive, but I added an ARB air locker and regeares it to 4.56, due to running bigger tires. I have taken it to do desert run yearly for the last 10 years. It performs very well.

I have a 2012 ls 460l and it has 225000 miles on it and you would never know it, one prior owner who took very good care of it just gotta do some maintenance on it this spring

I agree! I would’ve liked even more nuance on the green aspect. As somebody points out, electric vehicles are more green than gas car after a certain amount of time. There are a couple parts of the world where they are 100% oil that they actually are worse for the environment than gas, but that is not true in the US. in fact, if I remember correctly in my area, it’s only about 12,000 miles where they start becoming more environmentally friendly than gas cars. Of course, if you have solar panels on your house, it’s even faster. I also say the same thing when people say that they are the fix for environmental concerns, as people need to understand that there’s more to it. Hyundai is going to eventually switch to LFP which are lithium iron phosphate, batteries, which is going to be much better in terms of mining. I really appreciate it the way that you discussed the fires. They are exceedingly rare in electric vehicles because the battery is solid which means it is much harder for it to ignite. Even a bullet to the battery would have trouble making the battery ignite. It is of course, possible that there is something that happens, but it’s exceedingly rare. Gas car fires may be less dangerous if they catch fire, but they will still destroy the car, and if you’re inside, there is a decent chance you’re not making it out alive. I do not worry about a fire in my gas car, and I worry even less about it in my electric.

My wife scored a 2009 with 49,000 miles for 14K bucks. It's like new! Always garaged. Always dealer serviced. Little ol' lady from Pasadena type o' thing (Bev was a true sweetheart). Can't believe our good fortune! If it ever disappeared, I'd look for another in a heartbeat!

Surprisingly not - bad DI injectors and botched repair from previous owner I guess. I did a whole repair series on it! Many things replaced and fixed and resealed the valley plate too!
