I like to think that roland and the other bl1 charecters all still had their bl1 gear on. And due to the power creep in bl2 not only were they useless against bl2 Wilhelm but they also get one shot by anything. Thus meaning getting to control core angel left him with instant bleed out.

groovylobster I highly doubt it because you don't get even close to the color of red white and yellow on the gun Jack shot Roland with, it disappears literally milliseconds once Roland's body begins to fall and you only get a dark brown colored gun. So there is no way it was a Logan's Gun especially because a Logan's Gun is basically a rocket pistol, I think the explosion would be noticeable instead of a normal bullet hole. Plenty of characters throughout the game are seen using very basic weapons unless there is a special reason but even sometimes with these basic weapons they are able to do some crazy things. But basically, it wasn't a Logan's Gun, at all.

I had the same experience. And it came from one of Son of Mothrakk's after (or during if you just want the chests) chests after I helped a friend get a sledges shotty without trying from the same chest but it was to low level for me to use I was so pissed.

it's good that you didn't mention the bane in this list. I've actually managed to use it alone to shoot down the bunker. everyone gripes about it but all you have to do is switch it out for another weapon when you want to move, and once you're in a good position, swap back to it and let all hell loose.

Why are two pearlescents on this list! Gearbox, pearls should be overpowered as hell. Why do you "balance" legendaries and pearls if the whole point of them is for the player to have an overpowered gun to search for. You don't see Blizzard neutering the legendaries in Diablo, they have really high dps compared to their purple and blue counterparts.

As a matter of fact there were several changes in legendary equipment in Diablo already. Some builds even became useless. But they did it so everybody could try new builds instead of farming just that one equipment. What makes something legendary isn't pure DPS, but game changers, like the Grin Reaper Mask in Diablo. It's not the most powerfull one, but just by equiping it, you play the game in a totally diferent way. But, sure, the weapons in the video are really useless. The only one I like is the Tunguska , but because I know the origin of the name and is fun to use with a Mania Krieg.

Logan's gun vs wanderlust LG: shooting yourself while wearing a sham allows you to gain rocket ammo which means infinite norfleet uses. WL: Has 1% accuracy, 1/3 less damage, and has literally no advantages over using a normal dart, yet it still uses 3 ammo per shot despite over half of your shot not even hitting the enemy and the shots that do hit do little damage (MOLMF took over 200 units of pistol ammo to kill the first slagged loader he came across) Conclusion: the Logan's gun is very awkward to use as a normal weapon, but as a support weapon, It's up there with the grog nozzle as being a great utility weapon. The wanderlust on the other hand is completely useless and has no reason to exist.

When blue and purple quality weapons from the "common" pool (like Torgue Hulks and Ravagers) are more powerful than Legendaries and Pearlescents.......well, it just shouldn't happen. And just my opinion here, but I really did expect the Sawbar to be the worst Assault Rifle in BL2 Also, maybe it's just me, but I thought Worst in Slot would be like the Best in Slot series, where you'd make a video for each weapon class, and list the 5 or so worst guns in that category?

If you get an enemy in the sweet spot, the sawbar kicks ass. Even more so with the bee, since the extra projectiles are unlisted and get the full amp damage. It isn't the best, however.

There is one thing that I will say in the Fremington Edge's defense, and that is that it's actually decent in some parts of Digistruct Peak. It has the highest zoom in the game, and honestly I never really found the Hyperion sway to matter much in their sniper rifles, so I was able to lay down damage very comfortably from far, far away. The Peak is one of the few places that actually has distances large enough to matter, though. And I'm sure another sniper rifle could do as much damage, it would have just been a tad more difficult for me.

The bane is great for either axton or maya, axton can use his turret for the shield and to draw fire, and maya can use it to kill stationary enemies from her phaselock

I agree with most of this list, with the exception of the Tunguska and the Chullain. They're bad guns, yeah, but they didn't seem useless. The Tunguska was doing some damage to everyone in that room, and if you threw a slag grenade in their beforehand, you could probably wreck a room of enemies. And the Chullain was what I used before I got the Florentine, because it destroyed shields. I used it fairly efficently on Pyro Pete, although I should mention that I was Krieg at the time. Anyway, maybe not useful, but they had a purpose at least.

The Tunguska was chosen due to the suicide factor. Same with the Chulainn. Unlike the Florentine, the Chulainn has very low damage, registers its gun damage as slag, and slags the user. If its gun damage were shock, it would be much more potent. Even then, shock weapons are at a disadvantage when compared to fire/corrosive, as they deal 43% less damage vs flesh or armor.

yes, it's the other way around. you're thinking of the Florentine, which has shock pellets and slag splash. the Chulainn has slag pellets with shock splash, and that makes it significantly weaker than even the mediocre florentine. well, aside from the fact that the florentine deals more than twice as much base damage...

The Chulainn is pronounced like "cu (as in cut) lun. Basically if you replaced the O's in the word colon with U's. For those of you who are wondering how I know this, Cu Chulainn is a character from an old Irish legend a out a boy who went to play Hurling, then had to go to a party his father was already at, but was stopped at the gate by the dog, which tried to kill him, thinking he was a tresspasser. He used the hurl and sliotar to hit the dog, killing it. He then had to guard the man who was hosting the party's house in place of the dog as a sort of compensation for the man, but also a compliment to Cu Chulainn's strength.

I actually found myself needing to carry a Logan's gun. I got really tired of spending millions of dollars every time I needed to refill my ammo because each buy of Rocket ammo costs over $400k. I'm really minimalistic with the things I carry on me as well but refilling my rocket ammo saves me millions upon millions of dollars. Not that money means anything anyway but I still don't like to spend it.

Arguably, Chulainn is not useless. You can use it to destroy shields and slag at the same time. If have high weapon switch speed, you can switch to it, and shoot, and switch out of it before the gun slags you. It's a good secondary weapon.

OK good. For the longest time I thought I was using Logan's Gun incorrectly, turns out it's just fit for the scrap heap. Never liked the Chulainn or whatever it's called. I hadn't been playing BL2 for very long before I figured out that anything that can bring more harm to you is never a good thing. I can now toss all my Fremington's Edges away that I was saving for Zer0. Feel bad about the Bearcat. It was a really cool idea, just too weak and consumes too much ammo. I kind of think you were being unfair about the Tunguska. Yeah, for a pearl rocket launcher, it's very disappointing. But for the most part, you should be using slag on UVHM, which you weren't really doing in the demonstration (I know immolation should be helping, but still...slag!) That, and it's definitely not meat to be used in close quarters combat, though that does prove your point since that means it's limited in areas you can use it.

bahroo and i went over this with the best in slot series. a good weapon doesn't need a specialized supporting build to be good. likewise, you can make practically any weapon useful if you build for it. the weapons in this video were chosen because of their massive negatives or their poor DPS.

I use the Bearcat and Tunguska on niche situations, and I agree that they could be worst in slot (except for niche situation). And BTW: These weapons were badly scaled in UVHM

In the pre-sequel. The logans gun isn't that bad(true I did gib it so it was non elemental). True I use it well shooting at the feet to do some damage to do some explosive damage to there feet.

BTW i use a low level bandit rocket assault rifle (assault rifle that shoots rocket) to refill my rocket ammo SO THE LOGAN'S GUN IS USELESS

I like using the Slagga because it doesn't take the reduced damage from using a slag weapon on a slagged target. As a test on the test dummy, I did 10K with a body shot. It slagged the test dummy. I shot him again WHILE HE WAS SLAGGED. It did 10K. Apparently the Slagga is "immune" to that effect. I love it, and it takes out loaders pretty easily. :)

+VArkelS no, it is not immune. slagged targets are supposed to take EXTRA damage from non-slag attacks. that means that if you have a slag weapon that hits for 10k, and a non-elemental weapon that hits for 10k, the non-elemental weapon will hit a slagged target for 20k (or 30k if you're in UVHM), and the slag weapon will still only hit for 10k.

+RyokoRHM Note: I put immune in quotations. That does not mean it is. I'm just saying that using a slag weapon on a slagged target will deal decreased damage. But that doesn't happen in terms of the Slagga. It deals the same amount, regardless of being slagged or not. From my experience using it, obviously.

+RyokoRHM From my experience using it with Maya, on the test dummy, I can truly tell you that it did NOT deal decreased damage. Nobody else sees this but me, I don't know why. Maybe everyone just doesn't give a fuck about damage values anymore?
