Admiring Chinese dancing culture! | 欣赏中国舞蹈文化！

One of the things I’ve loved from the very beginning of my life in China is their dancing culture! 💃🏻
I love that people can dance on the streets, not only on the squares but in any park or garden, and even outside the living buildings! No judgement around! Whoever wants, can join the practice because
Chinese are very friendly!
I hope you enjoy watching the dancing activities at Hangzhou’s famous West Lake Cultural Square that I’ve filmed for this video! I got a little emotional watching the dances!🥲 I wish I had joined some of them!

This is real freedom of the Chinese people. They can dance at the park even just a couple themselves and no one will laugh at them, criticize them or bother them. People are free to enjoy how they like it. If a couple will dance on a park on U$, sure others will start to criticize saying they are crazy or showing off.

Believe me or not Chinese are on one hand extremely steep in their own culture yet equally open to accepting other cultures, the fact they're into tangle for untie & uncle, suffle dance for youngster and even bollywood dance! None are expert but it's kind of a social bonding things that exist in other activities like Tai Chi, or sports or singing club for my sis even here in USA!

This is a truly awesome aspect of their culture. Very impressed with their shuffle dancing by old and young alike. I have seen something similar happening all over Thailand as well ... but it's more of aerobics exercises rather than dancing.

The retirement age in China is too early. Women can retire at the age of 50. Therefore, public places such as parks and squares in China are almost always used as places for dancing by these retired aunts.

I grew up in the 70s watching black people "do their groove thang" and the explosion of disco dances. So when I see these beautiful congregations, what I really see are in fact group calisthenics to music (not so much dance).

绝大大部分都是自发组织的！基本上免费公园和广场都会有这种舞蹈，通常称为“广场舞”，还有很多城市风光带，都有各个年龄段的人，从小孩到老人，民族舞到交谊舞、街舞，都很多很丰富的，绝大部分广场舞都是免费加入的！

I've read that China will provide houses to (I think it was) minorities like Tibetans or people in Xinjiang. But part of the agreement was that they must keep a picture of Xi on their wall.
