I have the circuit in 16mm and I honestly cant feel any difference in the paddle face where the foam is. I think it may have been felt more when it was new but when it broke in it feels pretty even across all spots of the paddle. I really enjoy this paddle and it has become my main with the alecto three. They both seem to have great balance between power and control. The Circuit feels pretty different to me though it just grabs the ball so well for me.

Still liking the circuit? I've been tempted and with the sale + code it's under $100 so it seems like a great deal.

@@seanwilson512 well to be honest I haven’t been able to use it much lately . My wife has been using it lol. I still like say it’s my main paddle , I have another one on the way. I have big forehead and do tend to drive and then drop a lot and I feel like this paddle is perfect for that . I also got the juiced like 2 days ago and that is another sleeper paddle. It’s kind of low on pop but it grabs the ball so well I am able to swing out my shoes and get monster drives that stay in without sacrificing my soft game it’s a bit low on pop but I don’t think I need a whole lotta pop to be honest

Wanted to give a quick update on the ESQ 14.3 weight setup - I put the .5 g/inch tape all the way around the paddle as you did in your video -this thing is amazing! Power, pop for days with great control/ ability to dink and reset - the way this paddle pockets the ball and allows you to shape it is insane. Thank you for the suggested setup - it’s my new main - I think you are on to something with the .5 g/inch all the way around - I didn’t add any weight to the handle - didn’t feel like I needed to with it being wide body - love your work man !

Awesome to hear! Yes, with that setup it hits like a truck and has a huge sweet spot.

Ronbus increased the price from $250 to $260. Sketchy company. What makes them think they can charge more then Selkirk or Paddletek?
@AllDriveNoDropPickleball28 күн бұрын
This is news to me, the Ripple performance is better than any Selkirk if it holds up. We see every company with a power paddle charging high now so hopefully more competitors come in at value prices.

@ I’m a Ronbus Connect member and logged in today and saw its $260 now for public release. Will be $234 after 10% discount code. I was unable to get the Beta version and im disappointed.

I have 2 unapproved EVApaddles and, despite the extra power, I don't play well with them. If the Ripple is as hot as everyone says, I'm not sure how well I'll play with it. I want the Ripple for it's spin rate

Thanks for the Podcast! I requested for the review for the kiwilabs circuit, so thanks for providing some insight into it. Such a shame it doesn't seem to be as great I was hoping. I'm curious what are your thoughts on the Alecto3 and the Pulse S. I'm aiming for low to medium pop, plush feel, medium to high power, and great spin of 2000+ RPM. I'm currently using the Hurache X-Control Kevlar. The hurache paddle is great but it does lack some spin, and I wish it is a little more plush and a little bit more power.

Check out Tickle My Pickle’s Alecto3 review and Farmer Lanky. I don’t have one. Honolulu Ti or B&B Shogun would be good options for you with those criteria. Should be hitting the pulse this week.

I played a tournament earlier this year, peeps had the Joola Gen3’s that were banned but no one was paying attention..playing against them wasn’t fun, the difference in pace compared to everything else I had played against kept throwing me and my partner off. I think tournaments shouldn’t make players (many who don’t know the difference) vote to decide, they should just stick with USPA.
@AllDriveNoDropPickleballАй бұрын
I would prefer just sticking with USAP as well having multiple organizations is too much to keep up with for tournaments

Played in 5.0 with a partner that had a Ripple R2. He was struggling to keep the ball in on several shots. The Olympus Spartus with 4g of weight on each side feels a much better blend of additional power, feel, control, and spin. Just my observations.

I’ll bring my Olympus and J2K just to be safe. Had some great games with the Ripple R2 yesterday and had much better control with it.

I’ve been playing with the R2 Ripple for a couple of weeks and it’s not for everyone. The spin is fantastic but you better be on your game or you’ll be painting the fences. Not sure I’ll be keeping it long term. Certainly not playing a tournament with it.

How does the Ripple R2.14 sweet spot size compare to the Volair Mach 2 Forza sweet spot size?
@AllDriveNoDropPickleball2 ай бұрын
It has a good sweet spot. I’d still give the edge to both M2Fs. The thing with power paddle is the drop off from the sweet spot to the edge is larger than other paddles

Love this new pod - keep up the great work! Also heard from several that the ripples keep heating up and sometimes becoming borderline unplayable - that’s not the kind of paddle I want when I’m in the heat of battle in a tourney

Matt, the owner of Chorus, has such a contagious energy on Discord that’s it’s hard not to root for him and his products. He has me holding off on an ESQ to wait and see what Chorus Fire reviews are going to be like.

Agree that the whole 3S cert process was handled poorly - that said - these paddles are less hot than the Mod TA, gearbox and ripple so if you allow those but not the 3s, you are basically bowing to the org rules/politics/ legal nonsense, local tourneys should be about the paddle not all the noise surrounding this issue, agree we need 1 body with one set of objective standards - this pod is great!
